Hey everybody and thanks for stopping by!!

Another busy day was to be had at work and fortunately I was able to get 99% of everything done! I’m glad the week is over and I have the next 4 days off!😎👍

I came home and made a coffee and upon consuming it, got ready to set out for our hike.

Each spring, that magically wonderful, totally scrumptious looking, would love to just gather a huge bunch of it, stuff starts blooming!!🤩 yes! It’s digi season!! What’s digi, you ask? It is the flower known as digitalis, aka, foxglove. It’s known for its therapeutic indications for the heart and around here, it’s known for @elizabethbit’s favorite springtime blooming plant!! I LOVE digitalis!! Need I say more? Well it’s just barely beginning to bloom here and tonight, on our way up, I found my first one in bloom. Digitalis blooms every other year and comes in an array of various whites, pinks and purples, to peach colors. This first one is a white color and inside the cone shaped flower, there was a smattering of delicate pink dots. Unfortunately the camera didn’t pick up the variation but it was lovely.

The mosquitoes were out in full force tonight which I find extremely annoying! Being allergic to them does not make for a good time! We got up to Towhee Ridge and of course, Actifit-Lamb was ready for action! She ran over to a fallen log situated amongst the Oregon Grape and hoisted herself up onto it for her picture. She is kind of cute! LOL 😂

Now I know up to this point the question that has been really bugging you is ‘what is that stuff behind the Fitbit stats?’ Well, wonder no more! We have some amazing trees in these here hills, and every spring the shed their seeds. Usually, it looks like it’s snowing, just as it did today, but this particular one drops entire seed pods that have exploded open. The cottonwood tree of the Northwest. In some places, the trail is so fuzzy it looks like it’s molding, lol.

Well, I guess that’s gonna be it for now. Keep on @actfit steppin’! Have a good weekend and take care! 😎👍🤩🤗💕👣🎶💤🐑🐌🎁☕️

Spring is a very beautiful season. It is very nice to see plants and flowers at this time. I like to go hiking a lot. But I don't go that much.@elizabethbit

Wow, everything is really blossoming beautifully. I’m glad you answered the question about the first picture. My first thought was confetti. 😁

I didn’t know foxglove was also called digitalis, or that it has any medicinal properties. (In fact I thought it was poisonous!) But they are so pretty!

Awesome step count, @elizabethbit. Actifit Lamb looks like she is enjoying spring!

Hey @jayna! If you google it, it says it's used for congestive heart failure. I know in the 1800's it was used as a heart tonic for folks with a 'tired heart'. A lot of today's medicine is actually based off of plants that grow, but oftentimes, the plants are 'tweaked' or a chemical is added to them to produce another effect. There is so much we have 'forgotten' from olden days that might be worth 'remembering'! Take care and thanks for stopping by!🤗🤗💕

I was bugged by the thought ‘what is that stuff behind the Fitbit stats?’. Now I don't need to ask you about it... :=)

Someone said that foxglove flowers were collected by the bad witches of the past for the purpose of making poison, but do not ask my source... I just remembered that from nowhere, LOL! Oh my, are you allergic to mosquito bites too, sis? Because I am!!!
Thanks for sharing your day, my sweet sis @elizabethbit. Have a wonderful weekend, and take care Take care 🥰🌺🤙, lots of hugs and love.🤗💕

I tried Googling that about the foxglove, and the only thing that came up was that it was used to lure fairies. ?? It was used in medicine for congestive heart failure and is said to increase blood flow throughout your body.

So, for anyone else reading this, this is not intended as medical advice or anything like that, so do your own due diligence!

Thanks @silversaver888 for commenting and have a lovely night sis! 🤗🤗😘💕🌸
