My Actifit Report Card: March 9 2022
Hello friends,
This time I seem to have done better with the short video. Better less pictures than every few seconds the interruption.
Unfortunately I still have a cold, so swimming and snorkeling will probably not happen this week. My nose is still closed, I can't dive with it and snorkeling without chasing the sharks is boring.
But the weather is getting better. The sky is still a little incontinent, but it's drizzling rather than raining. Maybe there will be some dry days in a row. Would be quite nice, I would have to slowly insert a laundry day.
What I still do not fully understand here, are the many hotel and commercial ruins. I understand the principle of insurance-friendly warm demolition, but can not understand why these ruins are not sold and something new is built. Sometimes they are really top locations like this former luxury hotel with its private beach. Judging by the size of the trees, this building has been standing around as a ruin for a few years.
Is land speculation really that much more profitable?

Diesmal scheint mir das kurze Video besser gelungen zu sein. Lieber weniger Bilder als alle paar Sekunden die Unterbrechung.
Leider bin ich immer noch erkältet, also Schwimmen und schnorcheln wird diese Woche wohl nichts. Meine Nase ist noch zu, abtauchen kann ich damit nicht und schnorcheln ohne den Haien hinterher zu tauchen ist langweilig.
Aber dem Wetter gehts immer besser. Ein wenig inkontinent ist der Himmel ja noch, aber es pieselt eher als dass es regnet. Vielleicht kommen ja doch noch ein paar trockene Tage am Stück. Wäre mal ganz schön , ich müsste langsam einen Wäschetag einlegen.
Was ich hier immer noch nicht völlig verstehe , sind die vielen Hotel und Geschäftshausruinen. Ich verstehe schon das Prinzip des versicherungsfreundlichen Warmabrisses, aber ich kann nicht begreifen, warum diese Ruinen nicht verkauft und etwas neues gebaut wird. Es sind manchmal wirklich Toplagen wie dieses ehemalige Luxushotel mit seinem Privatstrand. Nach der Größe der Bäume, zu urteilen, steht dieses Gebäude schon ein paar Jahre als Ruine rum.
Ist die Bodenspekulation wirklich so viel profitabler?

Das mit dem Müll am Strand fällt in Japan auch total auf und geht mir echt auf den Sack. Was da so angeschwemmt wird, ist echt erschreckend. Habe das heute auch kurz thematisiert, was für ein Zufall.
Mit dem Leerstand ist das so eine Sache. In Japan wurde in Bubble-Zeiten riesig gebaut und jetzt wird das alles nicht mehr gebraucht. Stehen und verfallen lassen scheint eine beliebte Variante zu sein. Und um umzubauen braucht man ja Finanzen und potentielle Gäste und Kunden. Vielleicht mangelt es ja an beidem!?
Vieles sind ja Ferienanlagen und Rentnersitze. Geld dürfte keine Rolle spielen für Nordamerikaner.
Das mit dem Plastik wäre so einfach zu lösen. Für Glas, Metall und Papier Müll gibt es einen Markt. Deshalb findet man das auch nicht in der Landschaft.
Regierungen müssten nichts anderes tun als auch Plastikmüll aufzukaufen, wäre win-win, weil die Sammler dann sogar ein Einkommen hätten. Das Zeug könnte man verstromen, sogar als nächtlicher Puffer für Solarstrom.
Es will keine der ach so ökologischen Regierungen.

You are absolutely right, it is a pity to see ruins located in such beautiful places that could be of benefit. The problem in places like this is that the economic conditions are very variable and it may be unsafe to invest, I don't know, what do the locals say?
Even though you are waiting for an optimal weather to be able to do the activity, the photos look beautiful, at least the landscape you are enjoying is nice @dirkzett
For me it is only good, everything is more interesting than hotel architecture.
