Asian Ladybug without Dots!

Until today I only knew ladybugs with black spots (two or more dots). Today I saw a species on an oak leaf that did not have any dots!
Hmm . . . a short research showed me that these dotless ladybugs belong to the Asian beetles, which btw also can have points.
In any case I was happy to get it in front of my lens, even if I only had my little pocket camera with me, which of course does not take so good pictures.
Bis heute kannte ich nur Marienkäfer mit schwarzen Punkten (zwei oder mehr Punkte). Heute sah ich auf einem Eichenblatt ein Exemplar, das keinen einzigen Punkt hatte!
Hmm . . . eine kurze Recherche zeigte mir, dass diese punktlosen Marienkäfer zu einer asiatischen Art gehören, die allerdings auch mit Punkten vorkommen.
Auf jeden Fall hab ich mich sehr gefreut, es vor die Linse zu bekommen, auch wenn ich nur meine kleine Pocket Kamera dabei hatte, die naturgemäß keine so guten Aufnahmen macht.

Good job with your 9954 @actifit steps. I seem to recall something about Asian Beetles being invasive? Did the research you did mention anything about that? They just look like regular lady bugs minus the spot, of course. Nice picutures. Take care @actifit-peter and have a good night/day!

Well......you've just supplied an answer to whats flying around our neck of the woods.........Asian beetles. A couple of years ago on a hike, we entered a field where there were tons of 'lady bugs' flying. One flew into my neck and bit me. That bite literally bothered me for a couple of years and even changed the texture of my skin too. Thanks for the article @actifit-peter! Take care!
