Marbled Memories - Ricordi Marmorizzati [ENG/ITA]

Sometimes a simple action, such as opening a drawer, can be able to bring to mind memories buried in our subconscious

It was the year 2001 and I received this book as a gift...
(My first book for painting)

inside, various projects are described that can be created such as gift bags, a color box, colored t-shirts, a kite, etc... all strictly colorful.
A sort of tutorial book for children on how to create personal objects and make them unique thanks to painting.

I remember spending whole hours reading and fantasizing about this book. I really liked it. And of course I also tried to make some small projects with the help of my mother @titti

The only one that has survived over the years and that I still keep in the drawer is the marbled paper

The job is to fill a basin with water and oil colors diluted with turpentine. Then mix it up creating swirls of colors until you are satisfied with the design created. Finally, gently place a sheet on the water so that it absorbs the colors, and then remove the sheet and leave it to dry.

Now I show you what I did in the distant 2001

Do you know how I can remember it was 2001? Because I had written the date behind some of them ;)

A volte una semplice azione, come quella di aprire un cassetto, può essere in grado di far affiorare alla mente ricordi sepolti nel nostro subconscio

Correva l'anno 2001 e ricevetti in regalo questo libro...

al suo interno sono descritti vari progetti da poter realizzare come ad esempio sacchetti da regalo, una scatola porta colori, t-shirt colorate, un aquilone, ecc ecc... tutto rigorosamente coloratissimo.
Una sorta di libro tutorial per bambini su come creare oggetti personali e renderli unici grazie alla pittura.

Ricordo che passavo intere ore a leggere e fantasticare su questo libro. Mi piaceva davvero tanto. E ovviamente provai anche a realizzare qualche piccolo progetto con l'aiuto di mia madre @titti.

L'unico che però è sopravvissuto negli anni e che ancora conservo nel cassetto è la carta marmorizzata

Il lavoro consiste nel riempire una bacinella con acqua e colori ad olio diluiti con acqua ragia. Poi dare una mescolata creando vortici di colori finchè non si è soddisfatti del disegno creato. Infine appoggiare delicatamente un foglio sull'acqua in maniera tale che assorba i colori, e poi rimuovere il foglio e lasciarlo a asciugare.

Sapete come faccio a ricordare che era il 2001? Perchè avevo scritto dietro ad alcuni di loro la data ;)
