A New Package has Arrived! Here is my New Vintage Fountain Pen!

I finally found it! Today the package arrived with my new vintage Fountain Pen, an Omas Rinascimento!

Here's what the package looked like, I would say well done and ready to be opened!

Ecco come si presentava il pacco, direi ben fatto e pronto per essere aperto!

When I buy a vintage pen, I never know what to expect because they are very delicate objects and the probability that they have defects, malfunctions or missing pieces is very high!

As soon as I opened the package I saw that this Omas was aesthetically just a little dirty, otherwise the elements screw well, the nib is firm and the clip is not twisted.

Quando compro una penna vintage, non so mai cosa aspettarmi perchè sono oggetti molto delicati e la probabilità che abbiano difetti, malfunzionamenti o pezzi mancanti è molto alta!

Appena aperto il pacco ho visto che questa Omas esteticamente era solo un po' sporca per il resto gli elementi si avvitano bene, il pennino è saldo e la clip non è storta.

I had been looking for it assiduously for a couple of months.
It is a pen that is about 50 years old made entirely of 925 silver with a 14 carat 585 gold nib.

Omas was an Italian company founded in 1925 in Bologna and had great success in the world of fountain pen enthusiasts.

After the death of the founder, the company passed into the hands of Luis Vuitton and was then bought back by the Chinese.
Fortunately, the labor is still made in Italy!

Era da molto che la cercavo assiduamente.
Si tratta di una penna che ha circa 50 anni fatta interamente in argento 925 con pennino in oro 14 carati 585.

Omas è stata un'azienda italiana fondata nel 1925 a Bologna ed ebbe un grande successo nel mondo degli appassionati delle stilografiche.

Successivamente alla morte del fondatore l'azienda passò in mano a Luis Vuitton per poi essere ricomprata dai cinesi.
Per fortuna la manodopera è ancora fatta in Italia!

A nice cleaning with specific products has brought the silver to its original luster, a pleasure for the eyes.

The pen is small and light, it feels like holding a pencil.

La penna è piccola e leggera, sembra di tenere in mano una matita.

I loaded it with a Visconti black ink cartridge and just as long as the ink flowed into the nib...it wrote very well, what a great feeling!

L'ho caricata con una cartuccia di inchiostro nero Visconti e giusto il tempo che l'inchiostro fluisse nel pennino....scriveva benissimo, che bella sensazione!

It has now become my everyday pen, it is really comfortable to use and I can carry it with me without fear of ink leaks.
