I should stop (or reduce the amount of) voting for a few days. Lately I upvoted so much posts and comments with 100% that my voting power dropped below 40%. My current voting power: 39.58% (35M / 88M)
But either way, my upvote is almost worthless nowadays (currently about $0.002).

I could argue this post is overvoted. It would take me less than a minute to type it.

What will you do?

This is in response to the comment you left me on my post a few days ago. Irony can be pretty ironic amirite?

You have every right to do it.
It is free to express your opinion, but you have to know the fact that I did not boosted this post in any way. I posted this post from d.buzz, which is a Twitter-like microblogging website for the Hive blockchain.

But you called my post where people upvoted me(which I have no control over) injustice. When your post is "overvoted" you are ok with it and have an explanation, when mine was you claim it was injusitce.

You also now have a post with 3.06 USD value on it that couldn't have taken less than 2 minutes to write. My counterpoint to you is that you can't control who votes on what, you will have posts that are very undervalued, sometimes overvalued, sometimes "the right value". It's beyond our control since we are not whales. If someone upvotes you for 3.06 USD on a post that took 1 minute to write, do you think it makes sense for people to call that out on that post? You mostly have posts that are undervalued in my opinion, so getting an overvalued post here and there is no big deal, especially since you aren't attempting to use any boosts/bidbots.

I'm just trying to point out the double standard where you came to my post and said it was overvalued, but you have the same problem I do. Can't control who upvotes and for how much.

Because I thought that it was boosted. Posts with more than $5 pending payouts used to be boosted. If it was not boosted, then I am sorry. Please forgive me.

Yes. And when I put hours of work into my posts, they tend to be ignored and barely (or not at all) reach the payout minimum.

This discourage me from putting a lot of work into my posts.
Most of my posts are earning just a few cents.

But I get your point. We do not have control over who upvotes our posts, and for how much.

My posts are not boosted, usually a bot leaves a comment if someone pays for a boosting service and that is the primary way of seeing if a post is boosted. Also most boosting services are named like "appreciator" or "booster" or something.

I recommend having at least 80% Voting Mana at any given time. 🤔 That way, you can often vote with at least 85% to 95% VM in any given 24-hour period. 🙂

Yes, I used to keep it above 80% in the past, but since nowadays my upvote is worth much less than a single cent, it does not really matter.
