Thinking of recording audio of my kiddo having meltdown, use audacity to create the inverse sound wave, and performing a little experiment in destructive interference. 🤔https://bit.ly/2I7Cu4i

Non short link. I'm seriously gonna do this guys. This girl been screaming her head off if she misplaces a toy. It's that serious. Probably about 1000 shrieks a day. Hopefully, we can use science to buy us respite. Oh also our 1 yr old has a meltdown every time her sister screams. You can imagine how fun that is!

I used to think my girls were just taking shifts. The tag team of tantrum throwing but now my youngest has been getting triggered by her big sister. Oh if you are referring to the sound waves. Per physics, it should be a dampening effect. I really hope so. lol

If you want a dampening effect, you need to get the phase difference just right. lol

Yeah, I realize that is a tall order with the unpredictability of the sound, rooms acoustics and all other factors. But it was interesting to see the effect w audacity today.

So, soon after posting this, like clockwork, Ava has a dispute about some toys and did not take kindly to my suggestion to share. I caught the recording and inverted but was surprised to hear that it sounded more or less the same. Still whiney, still annoying but inverted nevertheless which was plainly apparent when zooming not the waveform.

I added another track without the invert and, sure enough, when I play it was BLESSED SILENCE! Actually may show this in a dtube video for shits and giggles along with a related entrepreneurial idea.

Sounds a lot like the whole election circus, to be honest. :)

But sure, the whole idea sounds interesting.

Actually have two daughters. One is 6 and the other 1. Hoping third try will be the charm for a boy but there is a wives tale that Comm Marines exposure to RF radiation causes them to only have girls. Guess I'll see if that holds up ha
