Remember to say thank you

Say thank you before bedtime
For having a home,
For having something to eat,
For having somewhere to sit.

For the fact that you have a friend,
For the fact that your spouse is faithful,
And if there is no friend or husband,
Then, for seeing the light.

To see the light, you need eyes
And hearing, to hear voices,
Eyes in place, there is a hearing,
Say thank you that you are not deaf.

Thanks also to two legs,
That they walk everywhere, here and there.
There are people who live without them.
Well, lucky, are you quiet?

I agree that there is a mess,
That much is wrong in life,
But still, you think, suspension,
Appreciate what is now and here!

And before you go to bed
In your comfortable bed,
You remember, my friend, about one thing-
Say thank you before bed.
