Life places a common denominator for everyone to succeed. However, some people choose to make excuses to justify why they didn't instead of being motivated by a reason to succeed. I remember reading a post by Zig Ziglar that the same hot water that makes the potato to soften, also makes the egg to get hardened. With that, we see that success of failure is in the nature of a being and not primarily based on environmental factors.

It is not enough to have a brilliant product, after you may have spent millions on those products, the next option will be to look out for those who will either buy into your product or buy the product completely, what I mean by this is that there are big companies who may like a product or an invention and they want to invest into the company, this makes them probably the highest shareholder in the company and this way you still get to run the company but you have a major investor, on the other hand, some companies may just want to completely buy everything about the idea.

In the last 30 years, the technology applied to the industrialization has evolved a lot, in this way now we have increasingly better machinery that performs more functions in an automated way.
