#AlphabetHunt letter H in #MyCalifornia
Hello Hivers! It is a beautiful day in #mycalifornia, and what a great day to do an #alphabethunt!
Last week was when I discovered this fantastic Feel Good Community and joined in on the #alphabethunt challenge.. but mine was a fun-fiasco because I only showed one G, my potted veggie Garden.
And I love how @barbara-orenya puts it: " post 6...and you'll multiply the fun x 6 ! 😁"
So... here we go!
The town where I live is surrounded by farms. At this time, bales of HAY it is a common sight.
It is really a small town. There are quite a number of State Landmark homes and award-winning Heritage Homes in the old part of my town.
The shops in my hometown are mostly small and owned by local town residents. During the current situation, many of them are closed. Food stores and the hardware store are where I go to get out of the house these days.
I enjoy visiting the Nursery section of the hardware store. This particular flower is meaningful to me. Let me share with you why this flower is meaningful to me.
My Mom's garden was planted with flowering plants. She always wore a flower in her hair and she'd always have me wear a flower in my hair too. It is either a plumeria or this flower.
Look at how bright and beautiful these HIBISCUS flowers are!
The hardware store is called what it is for the types of wares being sold there (duh!). I seldom go to other sections of the store except for the Nursery and Pet Supply section. But today, I browsed the other aisle to find this thing just for this article:
HAMMERS galore!
Talking about hammers...
I am a precious metals STACKER, which simply means that I accumulate silver and gold. One of my favorite pieces is this HAMMERED HEART made of hand-poured .999 pure silver.

I also have a passion for cooking and baking because I love to eat! There are some foods that are staple in my pantry. My kitchen is never without local HONEY.
There you have it, my friends! My selection of SIX words starting with the letter H for this week's #alphabethunt.

Hardware stores that carry plants are my kind of hardware, know what I mean? Your mom sounds so fun!! I can imagine it would have been an awesome childhood!

I like the "smallness" of this town. My neighborhood is close-knit and feels very much a community. A safe place to live. The grade school-age kids play in the streets till late evenings. And the older folks... they love to dance... (yeah, in the streets when we have our block parties), but mostly during festivals. Okay... so that is what I will do for #marketfriday.. townspeople dancing to jazz music!

Now this is a funny and varied selection @silversaver888 ! 😊 the Houses (I didn't know the word heritage homes..) are impressive and beautiful, and it's the first time I see such a silver hammered heart 😉
Here in the U.S., the heritage designation for a house and property is bestowed by federal, provincial, or municipal governments. The houses have features of special heritage interest and thus protected and maintained through the years. A State Landmark Home (historical landmarks) is most often a heritage home also. Hopefully, I will be able to show them all in one way or the other. Isn't the silver hammered heart so pretty? I like the way the light bounces of the divots on the hammer marks on this silver bar. I am so glad to be able to show you something that you have not seen yet. That make me happy.

I love the old town part of town. The entire side streets of downtown are literally lined with these types of homes. I love just parking my car in our main street, then take a walk down the streets and look at all those historical homes. it is so cool that we have a book with the histories of all the homes on those streets.

Laughing at counting to 6..I double check myself all the time! Loved your story about standing in the wrong line with the boys. It's rather like me telling someone to go left when I mean for them to go right or forgetting which one is the hot water tap. It's good that my friends know what I mean when I tell them to turn the light on, and it is already on. I just blame it on MS! It is a good excuse for a lot of things😜

I love my kitchen because I have ample counter space for food preparation. I love the trough style sink that I have too because it is large enough for large serving plates that require hand washing, and a good size for pots and pans. Wow, those houses are pretty damn amazing there!
They are truly very nice, and many homes are historic homes in our downtown area. I think I will find the time to take more photos of the houses and show them here.
