Finding H - An #AlphabetHunt Entry

Hi Hivers,

A few days ago I stumbled across @melinda010100 entry to the alphabet challenge,thought it looked like fun and now im giving it a go. If you keen to get involved, check out @barbara-orenya's post for more details.

High, Hiking, Hills & Heiny

I guess this gets me a quadruple word score! Taken from high up, we see the rocky hills whilst hiking in the Silvermines nature reserve. I also managed to capture my friends Heiny which i noticed just now as i started typing this! I think i milk this pic for all its worth so lets move on!

Hollandaise sauce

Hollandaise sauce the famous topping for poached eggs. Featured above we have a lovely breaky treat my friend whipped up while away for the weekend last year. English muffin topped with steak strips, poached egg and of course Hollandaise sauce.

Digging to the archives here of almost 4 years ago. I quit my job and started my own business! But before i did i needed to buy a laptop a high spec laptop within my budget. As a tech marketer im quite demanding on my machine, and am a windows girl. Thus i need great performance spec to avoid the blue screen of death! After driving my colleagues crazy with laptop product pages, i finally got this beauty all by myself! I used to be Dell lady prior to this buy, but now i am definitely an HP fan. Sleek designs, powerful machines and value for money. Hewlett would be proud of his legacy (i'm not actually sure he is a person but i like to think he is!).

Heart shaped rice

Taken on my trip to Thailand in the city of Krabi! After a long day of exploring, we visited the local restaurant. I got me some spicy cashew chicken with rice and an OJ!! How cute us the heart-shaped rice portion. might not be the fanciest presentation, but definately made with lots of love!

Haulling of Yellowtail by Hand

This picture was taken in my front yard a few years back (what i like to call the beach in front of my apartment block!). Often an enormous school of yellow tail (a local fish in cape town) swims through the bay and local fisherman are quick to react. These guys are ready on the beach with giant nets, wrestling with these yellow tail as they haul them onto the shore by hand! It's rather an awesome sight to witness! and a double word score for me!

Hettie The Guard Hen

Meet Hettie the Guard Hen giving me another double word score. She is as fierce as they come and would give any guard dog a run for their money! I'm guessing she is a dirty girl as she sites at the sink in the restroom. Just you dare try and wash your hands you'll be sure to experience her wrath! This pic was taken on a team building getaway a good 6 years ago!

You found lots and lots of H's! I made some hollandaise sauce today to go on top of my asparagus...It was delicious and I had forgotten how easy it is to make. I'm so glad you are joining in the Alphabet Hunt. You made me laugh with your friends heiny.

I made the hollandaise in minutes. It's just lemon juice, egg yolks and butter.
Easy peasy.

lol thanks for the warm welcome! i actually found this quite challenging though! was digging into the archives to find appropriate pics! but i'm hooked! was really fun! (im already thinking of I's to capture!)

I'd say that 'I be looking forward'... and maybe I really be. just going off to the country for the rest of the summer, and my connection to internet and hive will not be regular. (that was a little excuse me )))

Great photos! So hettie stays in the bathroom... that is so interesting. Is that black mushrooms with the spicy cashew chicken? I bet you those eggs were poach using the "stir method" (for lack of a better term), so very artisan-looking. Is there silver in that Silvermine hills? Awesome H's, @mimismartpants!

thanks you far too kind. i have know idea how those eggs were poached, i was just on the consuming end. as for hettie, yes she seemed to have moved in! and silvermine is indeed derived from silver. However, the mountains were thought to contain silver but nothing was ever found.The name stuck though and fast forward many years later we have a beautiful reserve!
