On The Hunt for Letter "E" !!

avatar
(Edited)

This week we continue the hunt of the alphabetical letter's a challenge organized and run by @barbara-orenya and this week we are hunting down the letter "E" this will be my second entry to this challenge and believe me , i am finding it very challenging needing to keep my eyes peeled looking around or thinking of what starts with that letter named in the ongoing challenge so here we go this is what i have come up with letter "E" this week.

First of is the beautiful Eagle known as a Sea Eagle this amazing Eagle , i photographed while exploring the Kimberly Mountains in Western Australia were you will see many of these Sea Eagle's hunting around the ocean , i captured him just as he was scooping down to grab his lunch for the day.

Next up is the most gentle and biggest mammal known to mankind on land the Elephant such gracious and funniest animal to be around we experienced this while visiting a Elephant camp in Koh Samui island , Thailand a few years back feeding them and playing with them was one of my highlights during my in Thailand.

And here is another bird call the Egret bird a tall, long legged wading bird with a long curved neck this Egret bird however had a very unusual broader beak compared to other Egret birds which are more narrow i saw this Egret bird in a Australia zoo , i guess he was a imported Egret can't recall seeing this particular Egret flying around our Australia lands.

This is known as a Endive Lettuce it comes in two forms the curly leaf type and the one with the broader leaves which is called Escarole Lettuce it is a bitter tasting lettuce but both can be used in salads if you like that bitter taste. Also it can be cooked mixed with meats or vegetables given the Endive a sweeter taste.

We are all familiar with the Eggplant that can be used in several cuisines but what , i wasn't aware of that this Eggplant is classed as a fruit it was named as a fruit by the Europeans in the 18th century well we learn something everyday.

My last one is my nephews super modified Engine a V8 Turbo Charged Fuel Injection Engine which he has installed in his Holden VL car his pride and joy which always leaves his pockets empty with the cost of maintaining and running this Engine but he gets a lot of satisfaction from his super upped Engine and admittedly it is one beast of a Engine 😊

Yeah...you did it very well, and it is well posted in the community this time ! Now you know how to do, this is a step in the learning the subtilities of posting in communities, I'm glad we both succeeded in it 😉

This is a lovely selection blending the animals and the veggies (or fruit, as you teach us eggplant was a fruit 😊) and ending with an engine !
I had never seen such a beak like the one of this egret indeed...the sea eagle is beautiful !

If you often take birds shots, I invite you to post them in the Feathered Friends community run by my delightful friend @melinda010100, and where they will meet an audience of enthusiastic bird lovers and be eventually better curated ...To post there, use hive-106444 as your first tag
Sounds like you have just learned another useful tip today !😉

It's funny how reading other people's entries, leaves you wondering why you never thought of using certain words. I love the sea eagle. Very nice pictures. Great entry. :)

You seem to like this challenge now, don't you?
Well done, @kohsamui99, I think I could make the Endive and the Eggplant, for the V8 Engine I could ask a friend, but where the h*ll could I find an Elephant in Carinthia? There's no circus around and we don't have such a large Zoo 😉 lol

Cool selection of E's and very nice photos, my friend, I think you have made a very good start here on the Hive, and participating in such challenges helps a lot. Over all it should make fun, just as this challenge really makes fun, but it's also very good for getting better known on the Hive ;)

Have a great Sunday and take care, @kohsamui99 🙂

Thank you @johannpiber it's taking up some of my boredom by still not been able to go back to work yet due to covid-19

I guess you will have to take a trip to Africa or Thailand to pick yourself one of those majestic Elephants 😆

You do live in a nice part of the world surrounded by all them beautiful snow capped mountains Austria is a beautiful country to live in i hear.

And thank you for your encouragement i will keep doing my best 👍

Yes, of course, I live in one of the most beautiful countries and I am glad I do, but right now I wished some Elephants would run around ;) lol

Africa, Thailand and the rest of the world will have to wait until I retire 😉

Since Monday we are working fulltime again and I can tell you, although it has been boring at home I prefered that over my office ;)

You are very welcome, @kohsamui99, you're doing great,
have a wonderful Sunday.

I do have a friend living in Austria he has asked me many times to come visit him but it's just hasn't happened yet hopefully will one day because i really want to see them beautiful mountains and blue lakes.

This is good that you are back at work we over here are still not able to return to work just yet they are talking about mid June i really hope so need that cash flow coming in to many bills accumulating.

And don't wait to you retire to travel life is to short 😊

Have a great day take care and stay safe 😊

Yes, you should visit your friend, because to see our country in nature is much better than videos or photos 🙂

I have been working, but we have been split into two groups of which one was at home and one was in the office. This changed each week, but now we are all regularly back at work.

I wished it would be that easy, but over the next few years my children will need a lot from me and there are only 6.5 years left until I can retire ... and the word "short" does not belong to my plan of this life ;)

Have a wonderful week and take care, @kohsamui99 🙂

Oh! You made a marvelous E post and I'm happy to see you posted into the community! I love the birds, of course, but the eggplant and Endive photos are gorgeous and quite original for the contest. I haven't seen anyone else think of those yet! I certainly didn't! 😁
That sea eagle is so beautiful and egret is very unique. I'm not sure that I have ever seen one with that type of beak!
Nicely done!

Thank you @melinda010100 for your encouraging comment we did think of one thing the same the Engine but i love your Engine more.

The Egret bird left me a bit stunned also it just looked deformed with that beak but beautiful.

I was fascinated by your first images, I would have liked to have a shot of an elephant with more admired animals, what I could achieve was a cute elephant for my cover, great presentation.
