From Freeze to Frog - AlphabetHunt for the F

avatar

Welcome to my Hunting Success in the #AlphabetHunt challenge of Barbara @barbara-orenya and her Feel Good Community: illustrate 6 words (or concepts) starting with the letter of the week.

This weeks hunt goes for the Letter "F" #AlphabetHunt letter F - and the winners of the draw for the #E week [ENG-FR].

From Freeze to Frog
#AlphabetHunt

Hive AlphabetHunt - Letter F

Freezing Frozen Frost

AlphabetHunt F - Freezing Frozen Frost

Let's begin with something that we all are glad that it's over for a few months, but soon we will think again of the Wintertime with frosty leaves and icicles.

A while ago I have already posted another photo of the frozen branch above. I have photographed the frosty leaves on the same day in Šunikov vodni gaj in Slovenia.

AlphabetHunt F - Freezing Frozen Frost

Fence in Foggy Field

AlphabetHunt F - Fence in Foggy Field

Last November I made a little hike to a waterfall near my hometown Klagenfurt. It was early in the morning and outside of the forest and valley the farm fields have been quite foggy.

Flowering Fly Honeysuckle

AlphabetHunt F - Flowering Fly Honeysuckle

A few weeks ago I saw this interesting blossom on a tree. Because I had never before seen such a blossom I had to take a photo, of course.

My research took quite some time, but in the end I found that this is not only one blossom, but two blossoms of a tree called Lonicera xylosteum, which is commonly known as Fly Honeysuckle.

Lonicera xylosteum - Wikipedia

Fire Escape

AlphabetHunt F - Fire Escape

Many years ago we have spend our holidays in Italy and I took this photo of a fire escape from the hotel room. Today, after so many years, I have finally got the chance to use this photo for a post 😉

Forest Road

AlphabetHunt F - Forest Road

This is the road to the mountain pasture where our log cabin is, about which I was talking in my post this week about Memories.

It was a very nice morning when I took this photo and I was riding a bike with man power instead of horse power 😉

Two good Memories (Photo 52 Week #21 Memories)

Frog

AlphabetHunt F - Frog

The Common Frog (Rana temporaria) is also known as the European Common Frog. I have found this nice little guy or girl in the brook in the forest behind my parents house.

Information

Because some of these photos are older I have used several cameras over the years (Canon EOS R, Olympus E-500, Olympus E-510, Olympus E-5) as well as my helmet camera Sena 10c Evo. So I have decided that I don't add the camera names or settings to the images, but the Exif data should be stored with the images anyway, just in case someone would be interested.

If you like my photos I would appreciate an upvote, nice comment or maybe you want to share my post on your blog 😊 ... and maybe you would like to follow me, so that you never miss a post from me.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog,
have a nice evening,

Hihi, thank you so much, Barbara,
I thought I could add one or two F's to each photo, but then I couldn't find any 😉
Yes, this picture belongs to the oldest in my archives, and I think this challenge will help quite a few more of my oldies to be finally published 👍🙂

Good evening @pradeepdee6,
thank you so much for your nice words, I do really appreciate your kind compliments on my photos 🙂

This is a rather common frog here, although nowadays you don't see it often anymore. I was very lucky when I took the macro shots of this blossom, because the wind stopped for a short while 😉

You must have read my minds because... I was going to post a frozen leaves (taken in Slovenia!!) but finally changed my mind. And I was going to submit Fence and a Fly (deleted just before posting, lol).
A love your fog very much, I think the most, and on the second place is forest road. I know, we all miss our travels...

That would have been funny though if you posted frozen leaves from the same country as I did 😉

I love fog and hope for some nice fog photos in Autumn, but first we all will hopefully have a beautiful Summer without any restrictions and measures.

Thank you so much for your kind words, dear @zirochka 🙂

What a lovely selection Johann. I haven’t seen a red frog here but he/she is a great choice. Great looking eye of the frog in top photo.

Frosty clovers/shamrocks and the forest road to the cabin are also favorites. It’s hard to pick as they are all excellent. Nice capture of the horizontal and vertical lines in the fire escape.

Fence in Foggy Field eh? I think this letter F came easy for you.

Have a great night!

Hi Jo, once again good morning and thank you so much that you like this little frog boy or girl too ... and also the other photos, of course 😀
I have no idea how to differentiate frogs (and most other animals either ;), but I think because this one is looking so nice, it has to be a girl 😉

You are completely right, during work I searched through my archive when I had time and making the post was easy then ;) I haven't thought about the next letters though 🙃

I'm just packing my stuff together and want to ride to my parents on my motorbike. Because of the changeable weather I have my raingear with me ;) 🌧🌦 - hope you don't need no umbrella this weekend.

Good evening Jo,

yes, my Saturday was quite nice - I rode on my motorbike to my parents, had a very good lunch, although I didn't tell them I was coming. Then I have spent a few hours in the forest, played cards with my parents and my sister, who was also here, had lunch and in a view minutes I'm going to bed ... that was my complete day ;) lol

Tomorrow morning I want to take some macros in the garden and maybe a few birds come close enough that I can photograph them too.
My wife and my daughter will also come tomorrow morning, and maybe also my son, but I'm not sure.

Our weather stayed changeable, but it didn't rain and although it was pretty cold in the morning it is really nice outside now.

I hope for you that tomorrow the sun will shine again and you'll have a nice day, Jo 🙂

You day sounds wonderful and your parents must have loved seeing you. You are lucky to have the family in close proximity and you can visit easily.

My sister and two brother are all in different provinces and it’s a big trip to get together.

I talked with my sister on the phone today. We talked about flying out west (Alberta) as my brother had to have emergency surgery on his head. He is okay now and making a joke of it all. He send me a photo of the top of his head with the stitches and said jokingly “Bar Fight.“

He is still working in the oil sector in Alberta and had a fall awhile ago that caused bleeding in his skull. Then the other morning he had balance problems in Fort McMurray and they flew him to Edmonton for the surgery.

We couldn’t go out there anyway with the restrictions between provinces. She can’t even go into New Brunswick to her cottage.

That’s enough of my family’s mishaps. You had a great day and tomorrow sounds great too. 😊

Good morning Jo :)

well, actually I didn't want to make any comments today, but just sit here in the sun and hope some nice little birds will come by ;) but then I saw a few new F-posts and couldn't resist to comment, so I think I'll also quickly reply to the comments I have got ;)

I could tell you about my older sister, who has had something similar as your brother had in her head or better said brain. They drilled a few holes in her head, but this is long ago and I don't want to talk about illness and such, because we are to young for this ;)

It was pretty cold this morning, but when the sun came out it got nice and warm.

We have almost no restrictions anymore and travelling in Austria is no problem. in two weeks we also don't need no face masks anymore, except at some defined places. For me it is going a bit too fast, but I do hope our government is doing the right thing.

I hope your day is nice and you can enjoy this Sunday, Jo 😊

It’s nice when a few restrictions are lifting. It’s being done really slowly here. Tomorrow some restaurants can open but have to renovate the seating for distancing.

That’s quite something your sister had a similar operation as my brother. True we don’t want to talk about illness or operations..too young for that! 😳

Have a good night Johann.😊

We started to loosen our measures a bit earlier than your government, but now it goes a bit faster than I thought - we will see how everything will work out, but we will still be very careful, even without restrictions.

Have a great day, Jo 🙂

Afternoon Johann. I am going into Montague today and will see if many shops are open.

I forgot to bring in the new hummingbird feeder and the bandit was here again and drank the water out of it. It seems to be leaking some now that he has mauled it. I did capture a photo of the raccoon one day when he came by in the afternoon.

No holiday here today. What is your holiday on June 1?

Hopefully everyone is not letting down their guard too soon with the pandemic.

Have a great day and be safe.

"Freezing Frozen Frost" "Fence in a Foggy Field." Wow! What a witty description!!! 😮 This F selection is simply fantastic, not to mention the description!!! 😉

wow -- thats a nice supply! is it your city house place?..

I not necessarily like firewood itself, and I dont like to make its supply, but I like to do campfire evry much. my granddaddy passed me his know-how when I was 6-7 year boy, and I practised a lot ever after. it would be better to say that I like it is being used, not for the sake of itself :P

No, that's in the garden of my parents. There's much more than this - they don't need that much firewood anymore because they have a central oil heating now, but my father needs always something to do 😉

I like it when the wood burns in the oven or even better when there's an open fireplace.
When I was young we have had every single piece of firewood many times in our hands - from cutting the trees in the forest until carrying it into the house every day in winter 😁

I wish you a great day, @qwerrie 🙂

Had to visit to see what you brewed up with the letter "F", three leaf clover with frost an amazing shot, along with fly honeysuckle which I have never heard of.

Black and White fire escape most definitely a superb amount of detail showing this photograph.

Freedom of walking in fog along a fence for direction tends to direct ones mind into oblivion, escape a lost dreams...

Leaping into the new week, wishing you a good one like that gorgeous little frog that you refer to as common, it is very colourful and interesting!
