#AlphabetHunt Letter L | My first entry and it sure won't be the last
Joining for the first time on @barbara-orenya creative contest known as #AlphabetHunt, I'm delighted to say that this is indeed an interesting post to join. It's all about tagging photos that is related to an alphabet - each week is a different alphabet. And for this week, it's all about the alphabet L. To read more about this contest, check out HERE
To start of, my first photo is....
LAMP POST
I caught sight of this lamp post during the recent TET Holiday festival in Saigon. If you look clearly, you would notice that the entire street is lighted up with the same lamp post. And these lamp post are sponsored by multiple organisations to show support to the local council and make their contribution to beautify the city.
LION HEAD on mannequin
This is yet another unique and creative way to attract customers to enter ones store. Though I have to say it is pretty scary and may just defer customers rather than attract them. If it was you, would you have entered this store ?
LIFT
With the global pandemic all around us, social distancing has been the key priority to everyone. As such, lifts or some may prefer to call it elevators have floor indicators as to how many people are allowed in these lifts. What used to be a maximum of 20-25 persons is now only limited to a maximum 4. This is indeed the new norm for all of us now.
LETTUCE
Lettuce is a common ingredient in any noodle dish in Vietnam. Mainly because all vegetables are locally produced and affordable. If one is to be a vegan, Vietnam is indeed the best place to be. I always get my vegetables from the local wet market and it's just wonderful walking around to see what fresh vegetables one can find every day.
LEAF
Nothing is more pleasant than the sight of the green leaves in the outdoor. After all, green is the colour that soothes the eyes. That's what all Opticians and Eye Specialist tells us to do whenever we feel our eyes being tired.

LITTER
Not everything in our world is beautiful, clean and organised. Sadly, there is a lot of littering done on the streets of Saigon as well. If you walk around the urban & sub-urban areas, you will notice plenty of these similar images. People are just throwing their rubbish in the broad daylight along the streets; with no conscience at all for Mother Nature. Even those who eat at the street side eateries do the same.😩
Here are the simple guide lines of the game :
- Make a post with 6 of your own photos representing an object or concept that begins with the letter of the week.
- Post in the Feel Good community (hive-190931 as first tag for those who post from eSteem) and will participate in a random draw rewarding 5 people with 1 Hive each
- Use the hashtag #alphabetHunt and tag @barbara-orenya with a mention + leave the link in comment of the original post
- Dateline to post is the following Wednesday 10pm UTC to post
You've made it!!! Awesome hunt!!!

Indeed an interesting contest to participate.
What a Lovely selection of letter L photos!
I have never heard that the color green is recommended for tired eyes. That makes perfect sense though.
I agree with you that the Lions had on the mannequin looks a little freaky!
