I put this first because after all, it's my thing 🤭Je mets ceci en premier parce qu'après tout, c'est mon truc 🤭
even if some participants to the #alphabetHunt do not know this talent of mine, my job is to draw, paint, create, then Illustrations is a word that quickly came to my mind of course 😉même si certains participants ne me connaissent pas ce talent, mon métier est de dessiner, peindre, créer, alors illustrations est un mot qui m'est venu rapidement à l'esprit bien sûr 😉

And precisely, the illustrations above were done using ink ...Et justement, les illustrations ci-dessus ont été réalisées à l'encre...
it's not a medium that I often use, but it reminds me a little of watercolor in terms of technique, but much less forgiving ... 😁ce n'est pas un medium que j'utilise souvent , mais cela me rappelle un peu l'aquarelle au niveau de la technique, mais en beaucoup moins indulgent...😁

Italy

Italy is a country that I love, I would like to go there more often because it is a wonderful place with an adorable people and a totally charming language ❤️L'Italie est un pays que j'adore, j'aimerais m'y rendre plus souvent car c'est un endroit merveilleux avec un peuple adorable et une langue totalement charmeuse ❤️
In addition, we are very close neighbors, the Mont-Blanc tunnel that leads to Italy is only an hour from my home, and my region (Savoy) has been Italian in the past, until 1860, its annexation by FranceEn plus, nous sommes de très proches voisins, le tunnel du Mont-Blanc n'est qu'à une heure de chez moi, et ma région (la Savoie) a historiquement été italienne dans le passé, jusqu'en 1860 dâte de son annexion par la France

Imaginative & Inventive

And to finish, we illustrate two concepts which are imaginativeness and inventiveness with this sign of a restaurant which I photographed at the edge of the lake of AnnecyEt pour terminer, nous illustrons deux concepts qui sont l'imaginativité et l'inventivité avec cette enseigne de restaurant que j'ai trouvée au bord du lac d'Annecy
yes, even if it seems straight from Italy (Trattoria popolare italiana), it is indeed a restaurant in France which sells pizza in fact 😁oui, même si cela semble tout droit venu d'Italie (Trattoria popolare italiana), il s'agit bien d'un restaurant en France qui vend des pizzas en fait 😁

some additional Italian dishes à la carte , and off we go for a trattoria, much more exotic as a concept for tourists 😊quelques plats italiens à la carte supplémentaires, et c'est parti pour une trattoria, bien plus exotique comme concept pour les touristes 😊
... the fact remains that their hanging bicycle-sign is very inventive, I really like 👍...il n'empêche que leur enseigne est très inventive, j'aime beaucoup 👍

I thought letter I was kinda hard, and then, I found a lot that can fit, and even didn't use some I thought I would use....and even Luigi my gnome has already thought to his selection, with some other words, sooooo...I think you and every participant will get it and will have fun being a bit challenged ! 😉

Each week (from thursday to wednesday) there is a letter (we follow the alphabet order, this week is I) and you must find 6 words starting with the letter (can be an object, an action, a feeling or whatever) and post a picture (taking by you) that represents these things that start with the letter I

for example, I chose this week to illustrate with a photo the 6 following words :
Illustrations
Ink
Insect
Incense
Italy
Imaginative
and I tell a bit about the word or about the photo,
but the best is to read the #alphabethunt posts to see what the others do, you will maybe better understand ;-)

Important thing also is to post with "hive-190931" as your first tag, in order to participate to the lucky draw I do each week (five persons win 1 hive each)

Strangely, Ink came to me quite late in fact...only when I searched for Illustrations to photograph for illustrating the word, I noticed that I had done some with ink 😁 which gave me another I word ! ...like said, ink is not my usual medium 😉

I worked with ink for most of my career as a draughtswoman originally - hand draughting that needed ink pens and then later on plan plotters before the time of lazer printers;)

I think the I words you have chosen suit you very well, Barbara, cool drawings and beautiful photos of this city at lake Como. I like it when houses are colorful and built so close together on the edge of a lake.
It is good that the bike has been chained, otherwise it could disappear overnight 😉 lol

i restricted myself to watch other entries yet; now gonna have a look and appreciate other's choices. I predict there might be some Irises out there -- always a pleasure to look at good photos... and irises are my fave flowers.
