Proverbial: We are like river

There is this view in Africa that we are all connected. This idea goes further to establish the fact that whenever we meet someone, we will meet them again.

This explains the idea of river in the proverb above. As human beings, we cross each others path. This meeting is not accidental.

Some believe that it's predetermined. They believe people meet for a purpose. They claim people come to our path to make or mar us.

No doubt, people come to our lives to make a mark. Some are positive marks and some are negative marks.

This is why we are advised to take things as they come. This is premissed on the fact that no matter how we try, these people are bound to come our way.

So whatever you do, it counts. Whether good or bad. It is recorded on the sand of history.

As human beings, we flow just like a river. Whether we like it or not, those that cross our path or which we crossed their paths would meet again.

So we remember what they did to us or for us. Those who were kind to us would be remembered for good and those who were bad to us would also be remembered.

So if we see them in the future which is certain we would, what they did to us draw us closer to them or pushes us back from them.

This go a long way to say we should see each person we cross their path as those we would meet in the future.

For this reason, we should thread carefully. Watch our tongues and guide our actions. We need to do good to them because posterity always judge.

We never can tell if it's our children that will cross their paths in the future. Once they mention our names as their parents, it either change their future or destroy it.

So even if we are not the one to meet them in the future, our children might and i'm sure we don't want to be the reason our children future are destroyed.

So take it as a challenge today to always do good to everyone who come your way. They might be the reason you or your children become great in the nearest future.

Remember, we are all like a river. We flow from one place to another.
