The Pursuit.

How I had gotten to this lonely place was a mystery to me. I looked and moved around trying to see if I could find anyone but saw nothing.

I was still trying to make sense of where I was when I saw her run past me. She looked so terrified that she ran past me without even glancing at me. Who or what was chasing her was unknown to me.

I was about running after her to know what was chasing after her when I felt something else move past me. It was so fast that there was no way that thing would be human.

And yes, I was right. It was no where close to being human. It looked like a beast with claws and its face was filled with determination, like a predator running after its prey. This beast too had ran past me without sparing me a glance.

I watched as the lady became more terrified as the beast got closer to her.

“Run! It's behind you!” I screamed, trying to urge her to move faster. But it was obvious she was tired, she must have been running for a while.

It didn't take long before the beast got to her and sent her flying to the floor.

“Hey! Get off her.” I yelled and charged towards the beast but as I was about making contact with it, something more terrifying happened, I went right through the beast, the same way we walk right through a hologram.

“What was happening?” I asked myself as I tried over and over and over again to get the beast off the lady but they all ended with the same result.

Confused as to what was happening, I watched as the beast lift up its claws and sent it straight into the lady's neck, killing her instantly.

Then I woke up.
