When they got to the eight floor, Eric shot down the camera there just like he did every floor on their way back up. Someone was watching and he wasn't ready to take any chances.

“Okay, change of plans.” Eric continued. “Head for the elevator and stop at the parking lot. You will see a black Mercedes, get in it and wait for me. There's a phone in it, If I don't show up in about ten minutes, press and hold the number 1 on the phone, someone will direct you on what to do next.”
“Bu..but what about you?”
“Someone has to take care of these guys.” Eric said and started walking away..
Derrick was about getting into the elevator when he remembered something.. “Wait! What about the keys?”
Eric stopped. “What keys?”
“The one to the car in the parking lot.”
“In your pocket.”
Derrick became confused and was about asking some more questions when he felt something in his left back pocket.. “How did you do..” Derrick was saying when he noticed Eric was no where to be found, he quickly rushed to the elevator.
A man in the control room could be seen punching his fingers on the keyboard keys. He had this worried look on his face as if something was wrong. The bastard had shot down the camera's and there was no way for him to tell where they were.
He was still typing the computer when something caught his attention, a light turned green somewhere on the monitor indicating someone was in the elevator and the person was heading down. He quickly brought out his communication device and called his boss.
“Tell me you know where they are?”
“Well not really but someone just entered the elevator is headed for the parking lot, I think it may be them”
“Well can you stop the elevator?”
“Yes I can” the man in the control room replied and quickly pressed a button. The green light that once displayed on the computer immediately turned to red.
“Its done. They're at the...”
“What floor?? Hello? Gus??”
“Gus is dead, and you will be next” Eric said before throwing the phone to the wall, shattering it to pieces before activating the elevator again.
Derrick nearly shit his pants when the elevator stopped and refused to open. He knew someone must have probably hacked it. He could have easily overridden whatever it was but he left his computer in his room. He became relieved when the elevator came back to life and starting heading down.
He watched as the numbers at the top of the elevator counter down from the 5th floor to the 4th and then the 3rd until it got the parking lot. And just as he was about coming out of the elevator, he froze, a gun pointed at his face. The man behind the gun was no other than the leader of the gang.
