RE: BDCommunity Presents - The Weekly Turni

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

Reading some of the similar writings earlier, I think I know who has penned this editorial and I want to say excellent prose and wording. You're aptly hailed as the mascot of this community.

How is it even possible to feel nostalgia for a world we never knew?

Even though this question is a rhetorical one and was meant for our shared common history— I have an idea or an idea of an answer in a different light. Fiction. I feel nostalgia for a world I've never been to, never seen with my own yes through fiction. This is why I always encourage people, mostly passively, to read. With emulated nostalgia comes attachment and feelings of compassion and empathy—some of the qualities need and will be needing a lot more in the coming days.

I will take my time reading the featured post and the other one by our Doc. Great tips from Hossain bhai. Learned a thing or two.

This guy lands among those few who can easily dissect a film to its core only because he can, so he does.

Thank you, you're too kind! I'm genuinely flattered! Also quite delighted to see my post mentioned. I had a great time and a few laughs writing it!

The weekly turni has been a great periodical event for many. Something to look forward to. I believe this will increase some spontaneous interaction in the long run. Kudos to whoever first came up with the idea.

This was me btw:)

Turni is something that is more abstract than the literary portion lets out. Its there for the people who are willing and have the eyes to see..

I actually meant you! 😅

I think the entire editorial (other than the magazine entries like poems and stuf, and the featured ones) is written by you. The author in the first person narrative who's addressing the audience is you. I'm not wrong, am I? 😏
