Readers Are Dwindling, Lookers Are Growing, Are You Considering Quitting Writing For Photography?

I have taken totaking pictures and making videos as of late, and a whole lot of people have asked me why. They feel that one needs to possess some certain characteristics to either be a blogger or a video/photographer. Sometimes they say bloggers or writers take the easy way because it's possible to churn out content without having to go through the rigorous process of editing and editing all over again, making mistakes and starting all over again. The truth is that I have seen the idiosyncrasies of the both and I can likely tell you that photography is difficult as much as blogging is difficult. But one thing I can definitely tell you is that the urge to consume readable content is becoming less, while the urge to consumer picture content that tells a whole story is what seems to be marketable.
if you ask me, i will tell you that I am concerned about the future of written books in hard copies. that is, the essence of writing and printing. Sometimes the time taken to create a readable content is often underestimated simply because people are now more concerned about the sophistication of technology that goes into a video or that goes into a picture. Do you know that just an Instagram picture might sell more than the whole edition of a printed book written by an author? Well it's harsh but true. In the digital world of content creating value is not often appropriated and it is often too misappropriated and the work a content creator puts into a content is nothing without the appreciation of an audience, however can we say lack of audience means a content isn't qualitative enough?

Far from it, digitalization has brought about compartmentalization which means that people no longer need to go through the process of rigorousness just because they want to read. Whether it's a novel, a newspaper, a textbook or even a dictionary. So this argument is in two ways, first, people who were once writers of books have migrated to internet blogging to remain relevant and of course make money from the soft copies of their book. However photography seems to be taking the shine. For example a new story might want to describe the details of an accident but someone who is skimming the internet might just look at a picture and get a whole story rather than reading a five paragraph story on the internet that tells the same incident that they have just seen in a picture.
Let's face it, people go for things that they can easily do and I believe one of the reasons why people still read is because they have to read and not because they want to read and if you take away the necessity of reading then I believe that photography, video and audio content might just take away the whole essence of blogging and that is why I feel that centralised applications like Instagram rather than entities like iwrite might be the biggest deals in the future. However should people who are now blogging start taking two photography simply because they want to still remain relevant? I believe not. However I believe there might be a huge paradigm shift in the future and this concerns me a whole lot. Nevertheless I feel each content creator doesn't have it easy irrespective of how simple their work might look on the surface.
