...And I lost my confidant...I lost my dog to unintended poisoning

Greetings friends,

This is my first time of being here in the past three or so days. I got busy offline and rarely have time to meet up with writing tasks. It isn't really easy. Damn.

Wow, it feels like ages really and I hope I will be able to catch up on important updates if any.

Yesterday was a very terrible day for me. Initially planed to come on here to update my page but, unfortunately, life unveiled its dirty package on my dog. My dog, Action, is an adorable dog. In so many ways, he's incomparable to any other dog.

He understands me well; knowing when to bark and when not to, and always at high alert against any security breaches and fuck ups. He can fight pretty well but understands when I beckon to back off. My dog is indeed adorable and lovable at the same time.

The problem

Some days ago I noticed increasing presence of ticks on his body. Tick is a parasite that usually attacks four-legged animals. So I called the vet doctor that used to treat him. He told me that he isn't in town but said I should mix his bathing water with an anti-tick liquid known as Amatrax and bath him with it.

That's not the first time of bathing him with that mixture. I always do so. In addition, I always sprinkle his room with a mixture of Snipper and water for proper disinfection. But there is something I did on this occasion that I hadn't done before, and that's applying the Snipper liquid directly on his head in bid to kill off the ticks around that region. This is from where the poison penetrated the dog's system!

The anti-ticks liquid I used for his birth

Just a little while later, my dog started foaming on his mouth, with high volume of saliva dripping so profusely. He couldn't eat nor stand. Vomiting and passing diarrhea so uncontrollably. I got scared, called his doctor who told me to force him to drink palm oil. Of course, I did but all to no avail. I called his doctor again and he gave me another doctor's contact since he wasn't in town.

The doctor came around. And placed the doctor on a saline drip, and also gave him some injections. Despite all medical efforts, he kept panting so loudly.

While all this was going on, I kept calling his name: ACTION! ACTION!! ACTION!!!... until he stopped responding to his name, and breathed his last breathe; it was so heavy and loud. And just then, he died while looking at my direction.

His remains covered in readiness to be taken away

I literally cried like a kid! Damn; a full fledge man, shedding tears! I really wish I could help him recover from it all. My pain remains I might have unknowingly poisoned my dog 🐶.

To everyone out there, be careful how you use disinfectants to bath your dog. And note that amongst all disinfectants, SNIPPER is a no no!

Sincerely yours,
Eurogee Chukwuka

I'm so sorry that this happened to you. The world can be so cruel sometimes.

You can keep happy memories and old photos of time you spent together and be grateful for those times.

Oh! It's very pathetic. Snipper is a dangerous insecticide I've ever known. I'm sorry about your loss.
