The weekly writing contest by the bdcommunity is really a good initiatives, apart from helping people in developing and mastering their writing skills, it also brings long forgotten memories of the past which many are happy to share. We are to write about our best adda everhang out with friends.

Nowadays, i am not a kind of person that loves staying out, going out or even mingling with people, i found solace in the comfort of my apartment all day long than wasting my energy talking and laughing with friends...but there was a time socialising was my kind of thing so i would love to share one of the memories that i can never forget due to it being special and it only happen once so not possible for me to forget the experience...

Many years ago, my friends and i visited a street brother celebrating his child naming ceremony to rejoice with him, after the usual prayer and naming of the baby, food was served and also accompanied with wine.

We all ate to our fill and after the food, we started drinking the palm wine, it was so sweet that i keep asking for more and more to the extent that i didn't know when i got drunk because i was sitting down while drinking..

Later in the night, when it was time to go home, i stood up to leave with my best friend who also happen to be my neighbor, that was when i realised i was drunk cos i feel so light and the breeze could easily carry me.

I had to sit down again to think about the way i am going to make it home without embarrassing myself as that was the first time i ever got drunk and judging with the cases of drunkards i have seen, some sleeping inside gutter till the next morning and some are talkatives when they are drunk, i don't want to fall in those people category..

Fortunately my friend didn't take much palm wine, i am the one that loves drinking palm wine lol. He knew i was drunk so what he did was to help me up and we walk home hand to hand...

When we got home, i couldn't let my parent know i was drunk so i just pretend to be normal, greeted my mom and headed straight to my room to sleep without eating my night food...

I had a little headache in the morning but it relieved me when i use some drugs and that was how it ended, it was one of my favorite hang out as it happened to be the first time i got drunk while hanging out with my friends and am glad it ended well with no embarrassing tale to tell.....
