Integrity...

So yesterday I saw a drama ensue between the founder of proof of brain community and a prominent protector of the hive community. Well, the drama was about some form of centralization in a certain tribe and this was causing concern for the general hive community as a whole. I am happy that in as much as this is a decentralized space, there are people that are willing to protect the system at all costs. In the end, it all boiled down to the fact that there was a case of dishonesty and a lack of integrity on the part of the head of the tribe.

A strike has been ongoing in the hospital I work for the past 50 days and the strike was called off today. During strikes or similar industrial actions, nothing happens and a lot of people don't come for treatment so no opportunity for learning.

There is this friend of mine who despite everything tries her best to learn as much as she can despite the harsh working and learning environment. She loves her work and of course, in less than one week she's already receiving proper recognition for her job. I am super proud of her.

What am I trying to say?

Another friend of mine was talking to me and said she would be confident that her child will be okay if left with this friend.

This statement made me remember what my very rich lecturer said. He said that;

Being rich is deeply rooted in the people around you and what they think of you.

Another of my lecturers will say that the practice of doing what is right even when no one is watching is called integrity.

Oxford dictionary defines integrity as the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.

A lot of people don't have integrity, they just do things to either please someone or because they are forced to. A lot do it as eye service too.

I have seen people who have benefitted from doing the right thing both in tough times and in good times.

The good old book says that a good name is better than gold or silver. This is just saying that even if you have so much money and you have a bad name you are not someone to be emulated which to me is not what I want.
I can't be rich and people think of me as a cunny person. I will love to hear things like if he says he is doing it, he will do it. Things, as he keeps to his words, are the kind of things I want to hear about myself.

One thing I know for sure is that when a person has integrity, he gets recommendations and these recommendations are what paves way for him or her.

Networking will always play a vital role in wealth creation and with integrity the journey to wealth creation is shortened.

In conclusion, people should learn to develop integrity, stand for what is right, do what is right and with time you will be given your due recognition.
