Hello

I hope you're having a great day.

After decorated my with paper hearts and a paper tree with lots of flowers, I and my sister was looking forward to doing something on another part of a wall that seemed blank and dull. And my sister was looking for some nice butterflies so I've opened youtube and acquired the knowledge on how to make 3D Shaped Butterflies.

  • Got the idea from here.

Necessary items

  • Paper
  • Scissor
  • Glue
  • Scale (not compulsory but it can be helpful).

First, I've selected some A4 sized color papers, and then I cropped them (a paper into four parts with square-shaped of around 10.5 cm).

Then I turned those square-shaped pieces of paper into triangle-shaped and I did it twice and the piece should be like above.

Then I folded the paper again into a rectangle shape from the backside and then the paper should be like above with four-folds.

Then I folded the paper just like I did in the photo above and then I've found it like you can see in the photo (this is the most complex part) and it should rectangle-shaped.

Then I folded it again into another rectangle-shape which would be half of the previous one just as you can see in the photo above.

Then It's time to use the scissor and a pencil. First, I drew a little round shape on one corner where there's the cutting part.

Then I cropped that part and unfold the last triangle-shaped part and got it like you can see in the above photo now.

Then I folded two parts of the paper from that moment and it should be like the photo above which is more like the wings of the butterfly.

Then I folded the remaining part like I did in the photo above. It's an easy part, you just need to do it carefully so that it doesn't get messed up.

Then I glued that part you can see on the photo above and then I folded it and glued that part with the main part.

Then it becomes like... just like a 3D Shaped Butterfly.

After I glued and turned the piece of paper into a beautiful 3D Shaped Butterfly, I started using clips on every single one of them so that the glue doesn't get removed.

Then finally, I got such beautiful 3D Shaped Butterflies and I got 24 pieces of 3D Shaped Butterflies only from 5 pieces of A4-sized paper.
