Monagas Sport Club, con el objetivo principal de ganar su segundo partido en el recinto deportivo del Olímpico de la UCV, midió fuerzas ante un Caracas Fútbol Club que llegada de salir victorioso por tres a cero ante su similar de Mineros de Guayana en la jornada cuatro. Entendiendo la suspensión del encuentro entre azulgranas y violetas en la fecha 4, los de Maturín salieron con la convicción de hacer las cosas bien en la capital, ocupando espacios y atacando por los costados, con Albert Zambrano y Juan Carlos Ortíz, quienes se destacaron en ese ida y vuelta constantemente, consiguiendo pescar algunos balones en el área chica. Aún así, el elenco azulgrana, sufriría la expulsión del futbolista Ismael Páez en la fracción 10' del primer tiempo, luego de una dura falta que le cometió Páez al lateral izquierdo, Sandro Notaroberto, quien tuvo que dejar la cancha lesionado. Análisis: Los dirigidos por Jhonny Ferreira, le costo adueñarse de la esférica en los primeros pasajes del compromiso. Análisis: Desde mi análisis, puedo añadir que no me gusto como el elenco oriental se defendió en los últimos minutos del partido. Pienso que le falto actitud y ambición para remontar el marcador. Sin embargo, quede sorprendido con la habilidad y la inteligente de Yorlen Cordero para sacar faltas en lugares imposibles de la cancha.

Con esta primera derrota del cuadro Monaguense en el torneo, se quedó con 7 puntos en 4 presentaciones, con un balance de dos partidos ganados, un empate, cinco goles favor y tres en contra, ubicándose en la segunda casilla del Grupo Oriental, en donde Caracas Fútbol Club es líder con 12 unidades en 5 encuentros jugados. Por otra parte, Monagas Sport Club, deberá mejorar los retrocesos y ocupar bien los espacios, para que no les ganen las espaldas a los laterales o defensas azulgranas. En muchos pasajes del choque, los capitalinos agarraron mal parado a una defensa que fue retrocediendo. Adicionalmente, es vital colaborar en el mediocampo. Rolando Botello ha ayudado enormemente en ese sector, pero necesita a alguien que lo apoye y transmita seguridad al momento de cortar un balón. Todavía queda torneo; la idea es mejorar esas pequeñas debilidades lo antes posible.

Análisis: Sabemos que el torneo de primera división es largo, aunque, el objetivo es demostrar buen fútbol y ser un equipo temible. Monagas Sport Club, con excelentes jugadores, deberá ir corrigiendo lo más rápido posible si quiere transcender. Desde mi apreciación, sé que lo puede hacer, ya que tiene herramientas como para llegar lejos.
