The Philippines has different Mythical Creatures in different places and we can definitely conclude that it was part of our tradition and culture.

For this blog, I'll be telling a short story based on my own experience, I don't know if it was real or it was just an imagination. Let's start this story way back 1999 or 2000.

In the year 1999 or 2000, I was only 8 or 9 years old and since I was a kid at that time, I had a great time playing with my cousins ​​and friends. One of the games we always played was hide and seek, we really wanted to play outside almost every night. Until one night, we were seven playing and this happened.

While we were playing in the forest near us, one of my cousins ​​hid in a secluded part of the forest. I was the one who was looking for them and while I was looking for them, I saw something in the secluded part that I didn't know what is it. So I decided to call all of them.

"Mike, Bon, Joey !!! where have you been, I have seen something over there oh !!!" as if I'm scared. They did not respond. But I kept seeing something in the secluded area.

I also called my other friends Bingkoy, Don Don and Jenny but they also didn't respond, I was thinking that they might have left me alone in the forest. I was really scared at that time.

After seeing that all of them are not responding, I started to call them loudly and feels scared like starts to cry but after a few minutes they suddenly came out so I was surprised to say "What are you doing, you just playing and fooled with me" they were laughing so loudly "Hahaha! !! You too scared a while ago!!!, Hahaha !!! We saw you, you were crying already!!! Hahahahah....".

But as they continue laughing about me, I suddenly noticed that Joey wasn't there yet so we called him. "Joey !!! where are you now? Get out !!! Let's go home !!!". He didn't even come out until after a few minutes he suddenly out and ran as if he was too scared at the same time saying "Run !!! There's Sigbin after me!!! Wahhhh".

Actually, the Sigbin was like a big dog-like creature and the same time looks like a big lion and was have too big fang. The Sigbin also had eyes glittering and red and seemed ready to eat us. So when we saw the Sigbin, we all ran and we caught the Sigbin chasing after us.

While we were running, Jenny was in tears as she ran until she suddenly slipped down and asked for help saying "Kuya Romel, help !!!" while crying. So what I did is is, I called my other cousin and my friend and said: "Hoi !!! let's help Jenny !!!" So I told them to get some stones and starts to stone the Sigbin. We continued stoning the Sigbin and as Jenny was getting better we continued to run out of the forest so that for us to escape from the Sigbin but the Sigbin was still behind us.

After a few minutes of running finally, we were far away from the forest and the Sigbin was no longer chasing for us anymore. After all that happened, we told everything to our parents but unfortunately, they didn't believe us and they even rebuked us because we played in the forest.

Since then we have not been playing in the forest anymore especially during night time. We've never forgotten the experience that happened to us until now.

In my part, everything that happened to me with my cousins and friends is real because we've experienced it but as to others it was just a joke and some of them saying were just imagining. Wither it is real or just an imagination, remember that we are not the only ones living in this world, so keep on praying, be careful and be watchful.
