Beer Saturday : Toppling Goliath Dolphin Sparkles
It's been a while, but I'm back on Hive and thought I'd share tonight's brew with everyone. This one has a July pack date of July 28, so not too old, but not too fresh. Still, it's a good one.
The color is the classic hazy NE IPA hue; unfiltered, cloudy, and delicious. Dolphin Sparkles is an Imperial / Double IPA and comes in at a solid 7.3% ABV with a low 30 IBU.
Billed as a west coast IPA, this one is filled with Nelson Sauvin and Citra hops. Despite being high in ABV, you can't taste the booze. The hop profile is solid, but of all the Toppling beers, I'd say this one isn't as strong as others.
I couldn't get the words to come into focus with the lighting tonight, but this is definitely a fun beer to drink. Big on ABV, but not heavy on the mouth. Untapd gives this one a 4.07 rating out of 5, but I'm giving it a 3.75 again. Maybe I'm spoiled by the King Sues and Psuedosues...
If you can grab a fresh four pack wherever are you are, definitely give it a try.
Thanks for reading, and I'm happy to be back. I'll try to post on these (what us Sconnies' call) "thirsty Thursdays." Looking forward to sharing more beers with everyone on here going forward!
The !BEER looks great.

Love a good fresh IPA - this sounds refreshing
It wasn't bad and you could probably drink a four-pack and not notice the abv (at least I did)
