Last night's entry was another Minnesota offering from Two Harbors. It's a single-hop entry featuring the holy and divine Mosaic hop. Let's take a look:

Bronze/copper in color, and a good head too. There is no production date / fill date on the can, but I can smell that Mosiac goodness coming through both the can and the glass. A welcome departure from all the hazy Iowa beers of late.

Don't mind the Sixpoint glass; my Russian River glass was dirty from Friday's festivities. The color, smell, and Untappd reviews have me excited for the #beersaturday entry; let's give it a go already.

Wow, I need a haircut. How about the beer? Well, Untappd has this one listed at a hearty 6.8% ABV. Some 4,600 check-ins are giving this a 4.11/5.00. All signs are green, but...it's ok. This one tastes fairly "green;" I can taste the grassy flavor, and the hops aren't quite powerful enough to get that grain taste out of the way. The aftertaste too has that sweet, grainy kick. Interesting. I'm going going to give this a 3.50. It's ok, but personally, nothing overly special. This might be a one-off batch, I'm guessing.

I love my Mosiac beers; I adore this hop and was extremely excited to see this one at the beer store yesterday. Hey, we can't always win with beer, though, can we? I thought the packaging was nice, and the reviews too, but this one wasn't one for me. Again, this could have just been an off batch; I'm always happy to give beers a second chance, especially the smaller microbrewery offerings. Again, there wasn't a fill date, so it could have been a little bit older than what I target for with IPAs

That was this weeks' offering. Thanks for reading! I hope everyone out there is healthy and happy after the first week of the new year. Things got a little wild over here this past week in Washington DC, and I'm not going to lie, I was pretty exhausted that day after watching live feeds of the event online. Thank King Gambrinus that I had a few beers at home that night! What a start to the new year...
