Beery times in December - Day 5

This year my family created the a DIY Xmas beer calendar from me. I'm so happy about this that I had to post every day a beer. Even better, I have to taste it before...

This means, each day of the cold and dark @detlev get some light and warm feelings by searching for another beer from that big green Box.

WTF - Scotch Ale

I don't know the name so I was searching a bit and found this definition

Scotch Ale was the name given to a strong pale ale from Edinburgh in the 19th century. This was typical of the strong pale ales brewed in Britain at that time - mainly pale barley malt and moderate hopping, and were not that stylistically different to English Strong Ales or Barley Wines. The name however became regionalised so that a strong pale ale from Scotland became known as a Scotch Ale or Wee Heavy. Beers using the designation Scotch Ale are popular in the USA where most examples are brewed locally. Examples of beers brewed in the USA under the name Wee Heavy tend to be 7% ABV and higher, while Scottish brewed examples, such as Belhavens Wee Heavy, are typically between 5.5% and 6.5% ABV.

How does this new DIY calendar work?

It is so simple and cool as well.

My family know what I love and the found a big old box wich they painted in green color. Then they filled with some smooth stuff.

I think they „borrowed“ it from the rabbits from our friends house. As you see, even the cats helped with some work. They did the nice “patina“ to the green color.
