An explosive walk to the pub - Beersaturday Week 201 -
Well, it looks like I'm in trouble...
Last week saw the grand opening of a new micropub and it takes exactly 38 seconds for me to walk from my front door to theirs!
I'd have written this post last week but the place has been rammed the entire opening weekend and I just couldn't get a seat! However, I'm not someone who gives up easily, especially when we're talking about beer. In fact, this just made me want it more...
Today I spent the morning at work but on my drive home I passed the micropub and noticed a few seats available. After seeing this it was a powerslide around every corner toward my house. Then, with the car still doing 150-MPH (That's about 5000-KPH I think), I opened the door and stepped out looking like a cooler but considerably fatter Tom Cruise... As my car barrel-rolled off the neighbour's Ford Orion and burst into flames, I kicked in the front door of the house, and then, in my best Fred Flintstone voice, I shouted for the Mrs. "WILMA!!! THERE ARE SEATS AVAILABLE AT THE PUB!!!".
38-seconds later...
With the scent of carnage on my breath, the landlord knew better than to get in my way and stepped aside as I entered the boozer to take a few pics...

No one was injured during this episode of beersaturday (Although I did stub my toes on the way out of the car).

Looks like a cool spot - do they have a specialty style there? Or a bit of everything?
If I'm honest the menu was a bit bland with only your regular pub beers. I've put my orders in though so hopefully things will improve...

It's a nice place, just 38 seconds away you're sure to go more than once, do they serve any house beer?
20 seconds if I run 🙂. They had a couple of local brewery beers but it was a bit weak for my liking. Early days and I've put some requests in. The place looks good though so I'll be returning for some more 🍺🍺
