It's beer O Clock!!

I very rarely have a bath. I'm a shower type of guy and shower every morning, but every now and again when I'm really tired, I draw a nice hot bath and lay there for 30 minutes. It probably only happens once every 6 months. This time i decided to have a nice cold beer, perfectly juxtaposed against the hot bath.

What they say

Our interpretation of a modern American Pale Ale - Body Riddle arrives at near pilsner straw colour from its minimal malt base of Floor Malted British Pale Malt, Carapils and Wheat Malt so as not to crowd a busy bright hop bill of Lemondrop, Galaxy, Simcoe and Ekuanot hops.
As per our usual delivery we’ve packed this one out with a nose of lemon rind, passionfruit, grapefruit juice and fresh piney goodness that follows through to a silky soft, sessionable body.

I always love checking out the can art on the cans and bottles I try and love checking the different ones from around the world when the Beer Saturday crew share their wares.

This one stacks up well against the International competition and the art suits the name and indeed the taste perfectly 👌

Thoughts

As usual, I poured the beer into my favourite beer glass, this time being extra careful not to knock it in the bath - that would be a disaster of biblical proportions!!

There is a massive citrussy hit of this IPA - right up my street. The can explodes with hoppy deliciousness on opening, and the taste delivers on the promising aroma. This one is packed full of flavour. It was really cloudy, and had a nice golden colouring.

The flavour here is piney hops with citrusy notes of grapefruit and lime, as well as tropical fruits and grassy minerals. This one is very very drinkable and with the small 330mm can size, you'll definitely by reaching for a second... and third... and fourth...

The Grade

Cheers! I always thought that people in the bath drink wine! Looks that this is not the case here. I think that I should prefer beer, too. 😎 🍺

Very nice! I may have had a bloody or two in a bath in the past, but for beer, that would only mean a chaser.

Ha ha... I had beer in the bath before on holidays in Spain, so this was like a throwback to the past. My wife was laughing at me shaking her head 🤣
