Gray Cat for #caturday

avatar

When I took LittleBit back to be with my sister-in-law (where she belongs), I looked outside at one point and saw a big gray cat lounging atop a retaining wall. When I say "big," I mean big! This cat would easily be [...just guessing...] 15 or 20 pounds! I'm not sure what breed it is, but it is large like a Maine Coon Cat or a similar larger breed.

If any feline experts are amongst the readers of this post, I'd love to hear what you think the breed is. I wasn't able to get a clear peek at its little face, or the shape of the tail or anything else that might be of help, though.

The cat's coat was a beautiful shade of slate gray! Such a pretty kitty! I wouldn't have minded stepping out to say, "Hello" but was afraid I'd disturb it from its obvious chill-time. It was so beautimous lying there against the backdrop of the lovely green bushes!

My sister-in-law says the cat belongs to a neighbor who lives nearby, and the cat wanders the neighborhood sometimes, finding various places to chillax on occasion. I was glad that it felt comfortable enough to keep watch over us that day.

 😊

Hehehe, a chillaxing cat! I don't know much about cats but I'll say, the colour of its fur looks beautiful. Could it be friends with LittleBit and came to say hi? 😁

(Edited)

I used to have a big grey Maine Coon called Christo - he died 14 months ago and I still miss him..

Big breeds of cats are like big dogs - more prone to organ failure and he only made it to 14, but that is pretty standard for a Maine Coon.

Anyway, to answer your question - a Maine Coon has tufts on it's ears and that cat doesn't seem to, so probably not one.

Maybe the cat just wants to relieve the stress of resting. Lol

That's quite a big cat. 20 pounds. That's huge but I wonder if its skin waa soft like a cotton.

WOW, the cat's fur looks like so soft. I think that is one thing that I like about cats. 🐈
