Greetings wonderful Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia!

Guess what? It's CATURDAY again, my favorite day of the week for posting cat and kitten pictures... hope you are having a good day, as well!

The sun is out again, and I am staying nice and warm by the window in the Mom-Hooman's office... it's one of my favorite spots here. She's a "captive audience" this weekend as she has two long days of online board meetings for the non-profit organization she works with.

I like to sit and look at what's going on outside... today I am grateful to be inside because it is very windy again, and quite cold.

Some birds are making a nest on the tree next the front door, so I watch them quite a lot!

It's also a good vantage point for me to keep an eye on the Hoomans when they are digging in their vegetable garden, which they are in the middle of getting ready for the 2021 season.

Meanwhile, my small investment in the CUB DeFi project seems to be doing quite well. Still not entirely sure what we're doing... but I like the fact that we are getting almost one CUB a day in yields! All of this made possible because a long time ago I thought the "SteemLeo" (as it was originally called) community sounded like a good and well organized idea. Such a long way things have come, growing into the impressive community LeoFinance is today!

It's also really nice to see that Hive is becoming worth a little more! I never thought of having a cat blog as a "money maker," but I did have vague hopes that we might build a modest kind of "savings account" here, and that is working out pretty well.

My next personal goal is to reach 2,000HP... still have about 190HP go to reach that level. Maybe by this summer?

I have been following @penguinpablo's posts on Hive activity, and it's nice to see that more and more accounts are being active, and more people are posting.

There are also more new accounts being created these days, which means all those of us who have been here for a while need to step up our engagement efforts to make those newcomers feel welcome!

If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?

These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Remember, you can also "cross-post" your cat posts to them!

HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
