Greetings Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia!

I hope you are all having a good day on this Caturday... it's a beautiful sunny day around here!

Seeing something move in the bushes outside...

Covid lockdowns notwithstanding, the whole Hooman family is here today... that is, the Son-Hooman and Daughter-Hooman are visiting us from Seattle.

I like it when there are extra people around to pay attention to me!

Yup, definitely a bird...

Of course, they haven't lived at home for a long time, so they don't know the entire routine around here... so sometimes I get away with thing I don't normally get to do... like explore the storage closet where they keep all the Christmas stuff.

I think there are MICE in there!

At least it would be fun if there were.

Meanwhile....

It seems like things around ye olde Hive are slowly livening up a bit! And that makes me happy, because there was a period late last year when it felt like almost nothing was happening.

Whereas I don't spend a lot of time worrying about "toknenomics," I would like my efforts here to at least have a little meaning. I do love the greater Hive community, but part of my ambition here is to build a bit of an "emergency fallback fund."

I'd like to think I'm a "Financially Responsible Cat," in case there are vet bills, and such!

This "serious talk" is making me sleepy...

CAT Tokens Are for Cats!

Finally, cat fans, did you know that we cats have our own Hive Engine Token?

The Cat Appreciation Token ("CAT" for short) was created by @fraenk back when it was Steem, and is traded on Hive-Engine.

The tokens "official" alter-ego here on Hive is @catnet, and although I know @fraenk had some greater plans for CatNet (mostly contingent on a higher Hive token price, I think), the primary activity currently relates to the adorable @cuddlekitten bot who travels around the community leaving cute kitty drawings (and upvotes) on worthy original content.

And that's about it, for this time around... I need to get back to my family cuddles!

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communties!

If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?

These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Remember, you can also "cross-post" your cat posts to them!

HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
