Greetings Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia! I hope this Thanksgiving weekend has been treating you well!

It's Saturday once again, and that means Caturday, my favorite day of the week!

I've been enjoying some good naps and some excellent turkey nibbles. My Hoomans are very good about that sort of thing!

What do you WANT, Hooman?

Today's photos are courtesy of the Mom-Hooman (@cosmictriage) who decided to stick her phone in my face while I have having a perfectly good nap on the comfy couch in her office.

Normally, I would just refuse to cooperate and pay attention, but since it's the holiday and everyone is in a good mood, I decided to ham it up a bit, for her!

You Hoomans do seem to love it when we start playing with things, particularly if we roll over on our backs.

So I decided to reach for the phone and start patting at it. That seemed to make the Mom-Hooman really happy.

In most cases, the Hoomans actually don't have a camera or phone handy when a photo opportunity presents itself. It's one of my special tricks to "mysteriously disappear" when they say "Don't move Shadow" and run off to another room to get their devices!

It's not that I am mean-spirited or anything, but this has been going on for many years and I wonder why they still think I'm so fascinating? Ah well, that's the price you pay for being beautiful!

As often as not, our photo sessions contain a lot of what is referred to as "cat blur." That's actually a technical term.

Aren't I irresistible?

Creating "Cat blur" is a shill I have worked hard on, over the years. It requires me to stay perfectly still, maintaining whatever "adorable" pose the Hoomans want to photograph... and then moving very quickly about 1/2 second before the camera clicks.

We have quite a collection of streaks and ghost images!

Do you love me?

At the end of a good hour-long photo session, we probably have a couple of hundred images, of which maybe 4-5 actually come close to resembling the original intent.

Of course, the Hoomans claim that my being a black cat makes it even more challenging. Suits me fine! I like to feel special!

Well, I'm going to get back to that nap I was having... Happy Caturday, everyone!
