Good afternoon Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia!
Welcome to the weekend, and above all welcome to Saturday! And we all know what Saturday means: it's Caturday! It's that special day we cats love because our humans get to share our cute pictures all over the web.
Make sure your Hoomans are doing their picture sharing duty!
What are YOU looking at???
We're having a low key Caturday around here; outside it looks like it could start raining at any moment, so the Hoomans are not working in their garden today. That works out well for me, since they'll be inside and paying more attention!
That lamp is nice and warm!
The Dad-Hooman is working on one of his art projects which means I have “assumed the position” on my cat perch next to where he works so I can do my job as ”quality control inspector.”
There's a bit of nip in the air (there was fresh snow on the mountains, this morning!) so I also keep warm by sleeping under his work lamp, which is a sort of "substitute sun!"
I'm not likely to get bored with that, because I actually have three cat beds immediately around where he works! But this one is my favorite. You see, it's by a corner window so whenever I'm not watching the Hooman work, I can enjoy the diversion of looking out at the bird feeder very close by. Every now and then, there's also a squirrel that likes to come by here!
I hope everyone out there has been doing well.
It seems like there's a lot of activity and new developments around Hive these days; sometimes it can be hard to keep up with it all! I try to, as I like to be a "well-informed cat!"
At least I have good intentions!
The best way to help a Hooman is to position yourself in the MIDDLE of what they are doing!
New Hive Communities!
My personal interest has long been in communities and community building, and it seems like there are some interesting new communities that have sprung up recently. I wish I had the time to go around and visit all of them and participate everywhere, but that's a bit of a daunting task!
Particularly interesting are the Proof of Brain Community and the Cine-TV Community, both of which are not only quite active right out of the starting gate, but both also have actively traded tokens on Hive-Engine.
Yes, I spend a lot of time in boxes!
Could be interesting; each has taken in a worthy niche!
Meanwhile, I am slowly approaching 2,000 Hive Power, and the price of the Hive token remains somewhat robust, so it seems like I might be able to leave a few more meaningful upvotes on posts I like.
Naturally cats (and related) are my favorite kind of content, but that's certainly not the only kind of post I read.
I am as much a consumer of content as I am a creator of it.
One of the important things about community building — at least in my experience — is that it's not enough to simply be a member of a community, you also have to be an active participant in building that community. And that happens through engagement and interaction with other community members. At the end of the day, I'd like to think that I can rest comfortably with saying "Yes, I have done my part today!"
Anyway, it's time for me to get back to my bird watching!
I hope everyone's having a marvelous Caturday and thanks for stopping by!
Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communties!
If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?
These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Remember, you can also "cross-post" your cat posts to them!
Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
