HAPPY BIRTHDAY "VIRGEN DEL VALLE" [ENG-ESP]
Hello to all my dear friends in this lovely community. Today, our island of Margarita is in a festive mood as we celebrate the feast day of Our Lady of El Valle, patron saint of fishermen and of all the people of Margarita. It is a day when many parishioners attend Mass and visit her in her church. Today, as I have done for many years, I went to El Valle, even though it had been a while since I’d walked from here – from home – to the Valley, I was happy to do so once more with the group of people we used to do this with.
VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOLHola a todos mis queridos amigos de esta linda comunidad hoy nuestra isla de Margarita se encuentra de júbilo por celebrarse el día de la virgen del Valle patrona de Los Pescadores Y de todos los margariteños es un día donde muchos feligreses acuden a su misa y a visitarla en su templo hoy como acostumbro desde hace años atrás asistir al valle a pesar de que tenía tiempo sin caminar desde aquí desde la casa hasta el valle me sentí feliz de hacerlo nuevamente con el grupo de personas que estábamos acostumbrados a hacerlo

Of course, on this occasion the group was much smaller – it’s incredible how things have changed – but it was a very pleasant moment where I felt good about myself, walking to this place from my home. We set off at 5 o’clock in the morning to make the most of the fact that the sun hadn’t risen yet, so as to avoid the stifling heat of the early morning. There was a dawn mass; we listened to it for a while until it finished, and at the end they sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to our beloved little Virgin.
VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOLClaro está que en esta oportunidad el grupo fue mucho más pequeño es increíble como han caído cambiando las cosas pero fue un momento muy placentero dónde me sentí bien conmigo misma acudiendo a este lugar caminando desde mi casa salimos a las 5 de la mañana para aprovechar que todavía no había salido el sol así ahorrarnos el calor que agobia a primera hora de la mañana estaba la misa del amanecer la oímos un rato hasta que terminó y donde entonaron al final el cumpleaños feliz de nuestra amada virgencita.

It was amazing to see so many people; so many people turn out on a day like today because, even though many things have changed, they still hold fast to their Christian faith. The place was packed with people; there were stalls set up offering breakfast to those who had come along and wanted to enjoy this delicious breakfast. Once our tour was over, we returned home filled with blessings from this beautiful day.
VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOLVer cómo había tanta gente cómo acude tanta gente a un día como hoy porque a pesar de que muchas cosas han cambiado en que todavía mantiene su fe cristiana en lugar estaba abarrotado de gente habían puesto de marca comerciales ofreciéndole desayunos a las personas que acudiendo y que quisieran disfrutar de este rico desayuno una vez culminado nuestro recorrido retornamos a nuestro hogar lleno de bendiciones por estw hermoso día.
