Visitando a los Mineros de Guayana ⚽[ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m stopping by to share a new chapter in my life with you. This time, I want to tell you about one of my recent weekends, when my partner invited me to watch a soccer game at Cachamay Stadium. The teams were the home team, Mineros de Guayana, and the visiting team, Deportivo de Miranda. Here’s the full story.
I’m not a soccer fan—in fact, it’s a sport that doesn’t really move me (though I definitely tolerate it more than baseball, hahaha). The thing is, my partner does love it, and for nearly a decade, it was one of the things we did most often because he’s a journalist. Together with a friend, they started a sports publication and dedicated themselves to it. So for me, it was very common to go to the stadium, watch the games, and spend time with him. I have to say that’s where I understood a lot of things about soccer that I hadn’t grasped before (hahaha), even though it never really became a sport that won me over. However, those moments were precious and exciting to me because I shared them with him—from back when we were dating.

En esta ocasión deseo enseñarles lo que fue uno de mis fines de semana pasados, cuando mi pareja me invitó a ver el juego de fútbol que tomaría lugar en el estadio Cachamay. Los equipos eran los locales, Mineros de Guayana y el visitante, Deportivo de Miranda. Aquí les cuento todo sobre ello.
Yo no soy fanática del fútbol, de hecho, es un deporte que no me conmueve mucho (pero que en definitiva tolero más que el béisbol jajaja), la cosa es que a mí pareja si le gusta y hace casi una década, fue una de las actividades más recurrentes que hacíamos pues él es periodista y junto con un amigo, formaron una prensa deportiva y se dedicaron a ello. Así que para mí era muy común ir al estadio, ver los partidos y compartir junto a él. Debo decir que ahí comprendí muchas cosas que antes no entendía del fútbol (jajaja), aunque nunca terminó de ser un deporte que me convenciera. Sin embargo, esos momentos para mí fueron valiosos y a la vez emocionantes, porque fueron con él. De los momentos cuando éramos novios.
It had been about five or six years since I’d been to that stadium, so going back there was a mix of nostalgia and excitement—both from the memories I had and from seeing how everything looked now. I have to say it hasn’t changed much; it’s still an impressive stadium… though I would note that attendance has dropped and the stands are a bit run-down. If I remember correctly, Mineros de Guayana disappeared around 2023 due to various internal problems and, of course, the country’s economic crisis. I think seeing them back there on the field is a huge relief for all the fans who are waiting for their glorious return. Yo tenía unos 5 o 6 años que no entraba a ese estadio, así que volver ahí fue una mezcla de nostalgia,de emoción por los recuerdos vividos y por ver cómo se encontraba todo. Debo decir que no ha cambiado demasiado, sigue siendo un imponente estadio... aunque una observación sería que el público ha disminuído y las gradas están un poco deterioradas. Si mal no recuerdo, Mineros de Guayana cai desaparece por allá en el 2023, debido a varias problemas internos y por supuesto, la crisis económica del país. Yo creo que volver a verlos allí de pie es un gran alivio para todos los fanáticos que esperan su regreso glorioso. Volviendo a lo primero, fue un partido tranquilo, con algo de lluvia pero sin mayores retrasos. Un fuerte abrazo, gracias por pasar.

Que lindo que hayas vuelto a visitar el estadio, las cosas pueden no estar exactamente igual, o no haber mucha gente, pero uniste el recuerdo del antes con la experiencia del ahora y es tu experiencia. un gran abrazo!
