Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m joining you here to share a new day in my life with you. This time, after several days during which schools remained closed due to the earthquake tragedy, administrative and academic activities have resumed. I have to say it was a somewhat sad return because we’d finally received a call announcing that extracurricular classes had ended. In other words, we won’t have any more classes, and we won’t have the long-awaited closing ceremony because efforts are being made to ensure the children complete their regular assessments and can wrap up the year in their respective subjects. Since we don’t administer in extracurriculars, it isn’t a priority.
However, I think it’s important to be able to bring things to a close with the children because, after a whole school year of getting to know each other, working together, and sharing experiences in the classroom, I feel it’s necessary to have that moment. Not only for pedagogical reflection, but also because we’ve formed emotional bonds, and we deserve a proper farewell. In any case, my work is about connecting with people on a human level, and it feels a little harsh not to be able to have that moment. On top of that, our activities were suddenly interrupted, and we weren’t even able to have any more classes. I don’t want them to remember that as our last time together. And although it may sound dramatic, it’s likely that some of them won’t be going to the same school anymore, won’t be in my class anymore, or that I myself will be facing some kind of change. Over the last few days, I think it’s become quite clear just how fragile life is. In any case, I understand the reasons behind this.

Today, all of us involved in the culture and sports program—instructors and administrators—were able to get together. It was nice to see everyone and talk about the school year and the experiences each of us has had. It’s amazing how quickly time flies; before we knew it, several hours had passed since the meeting began, and it was time for everyone to head home. Luckily, one of my students was there, and I was able to spend a little time with her and say goodbye. She seemed a little sad, and I could sense it was because we wouldn’t be seeing each other for a long time. I let her know how much I care about her and that I’d do my best to organize a get-together for them, because they deserve it too. I’ll stay optimistic. With that, thank you so much for stopping by.
