Syama

Syama is a village in the Vologda district of the Vologda region in Russia. It is part of the Novlensky rural settlement. The distance to the regional center of Vologda by asphalt road is 73 km.

The village is located one and a half kilometers from the shore of Lake Kubenskoye.

There is the Nativity of the Mother of God Monastery in this village.

And there are many many old houses with cozy streets.

The monastery is almost completely abandoned.

Only one church of Martinian Belozersky has been restored and is open to the public.

The potential of the site is large enough, you just need to put hands on it.

And this is the second church, which stands a little further away.

The Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in Gorka Pokrovskaya is no longer subject to restoration and is a ruin.

It can say that only the walls are left here.

I got in with great difficulty.

Even in broad daylight it is gloomy here: a crows sits on dry branches of trees.

There are roads in the village, but almost all of them are overgrown with grass. Looks cozy, but not very comfortable to ride.

The river Krutets flows past the village.

It flows into Lake Kubenskoe just outside the village.

Unfortunately, I did not manage to get to Lake Kubenskoye - it was not scheduled by time.

But even that is enough to understand that Syama is a very attractive place.

There is even a portal to summer here.

...although in that hot summer, which is now, I would not want to get into.
