#SpreadTheVibesChallenge 🎶 Gado de Wan Bun Gado (God is a Good God) - Donnie Mcclurkin

I have been nominated by @fruityfruitz to do the #spreadthevibeschallenge a while ago and had to read the rules first before getting into this. It's not rocket science though, but my A-type wants to get it right 😅. This challenge was brought to our attention by @dmilliz and I'm very thankful, as these challenges help get us out of our comfort zones. Also, I get to listen to dope music and get to broaden my musical vocabulary 😅.

Gado Na Wan Bun Gado.png

At the French border with Suriname. Yes, Suriname borders to a part of Europe (French Guyana).

For this challenge I need to write something about the song chosen for me and also nominate two others and #spreadthevibes with them, with another song and they need to write a post about it.

The song @fruityfruitz had selected is It's a Beatiful Day by Jermaine Edwards. I didn't know this song, but it has so much positivity vibrating from it and it definitely gets the spirit up. I think that I will definitely listen to it more, to give my days a good start and stay in that mindset of gratitude, work together and to make the best of what we get. I was told that gratitude is the most powerful tool to get through anything and this song really reminds me of that.

The song that I select for my nominees is a Christian song Gado De Wang Bon Gado (God is a good God), which is being sung by Donnie Mcclurkin. I don't think that Mcclurkin had written this particular song, but he definitely did the Sranang Tongo (Suriname's lingua franca) version justice in this piece and it was nice that he mentioned our little place in South America 😅. I really enjoy this song as it makes me move and feel the presence of a higher Power than myself and that's also the power of music. It's a worship song, but also a song that lifts the spirit as it makes me believe that I will be good, as God will pick me up and put my feet on "higher ground". This can be interpreted as heaven, but also as my feet will get on higher more solid ground, so that I will not have to struggle and if I do struggle I know that I am looked after.

The nominees that I pick are @josevas217 and @raishmi. I know that one has good taste in music and the other I want to really challenge because I know there's potential there.

I love it!!! That song brings back so many memories. I think @bearmol had bought me the CD. When driving to the country, we’d play it and do some crazy dancing. Love the lyrics and the different languages. Old time favorite. Thanks for sharing.
That challenge was really a challenge. It takes time to make the post right? It’s good for us. 😃

Yeah... In the spirit of spreading good vibes here on Hive, it took a while before I found a fitting song hihi
But I enjoyed writing the post the minute I started and I felt the positive vibes coming through. It truly is an awesome initiative to spread good vibes and help built community.

Cool @tanjakolader for spreading the vibes :D Your post is the number 28 of this challenge since it started! 💐 ... a bit of statistics can not hurt ;)

I am happy to see all you responding and taking part in this beautiful idea. Great 👌 And your song you shared is uplifting, one can not stay indifferent to it :) Those listening to it will definitely check out more about Suriname now!!!

If you allow me, I would like to share the very first post by @edje so those who will follow your invitation also can check the launching post. There is no strict rule of the number of people one has to nominate (sorry for the little correction hehe, just saying if one wanted to nominate just one, it is ok, or three, four, it is ok too.)

Greetings and thank you for sharing the musical vibes 🎶🎶

Hahaha indeed nice to read this "Your post is the number 28 of this challenge since it started! 💐 ... a bit of statistics can not hurt ;)"
I also enjoyed reading those #spreadthevibes posts of others and hope that others will keep it going.

Yeah, so I did mention the first post with this "Read more about this initiative here." I forgot to mention @edje though. My apologies.

And yes, wasn't sure about the amount of people to tag. Thanks for clearing that up and have a great weekend! 😊🎶

That statistics thing has nothing to do in fact with the challenge,it was actually my silly way of saying how pleased I was by seeing the number of people that already participated and seeing your participation made me happy too 🤗

Oh my, I missed that "here" in the end of your post, but anyway, no apologies required for anything @tanjakolader , you did very well 👌, my apologies 😇

Yes, the number of invited users is up to your choice and how you feel it, whose reaction to your music you want to see 🎶🎶🎶

Happy weekend to you too 🌞🌞

Christian vibes a tek over the place! Amen! It have a vibe !😁

This can be interpreted as heaven, but also as my feet will get on higher more solid ground, so that I will not have to struggle and if I do struggle I know that I am looked after.

Ah yes. I like that vibration, and if we tune on to the power of the creator, so it is for real.

Hahahaha I was thinking that "Christian vibes a tek over the place!" same thing when writing my post. Wasn't my initial intention, but was really a strong vibe that I got that I couldn't pass up.

I forgot t mention though that you don't have to be Christian to take part in this challenge though; it's about the message of positivity that I wanted to spread.

hahahaa I don't know if the Bible mentions beer, but wine was mentioned.
Anyway, I don't think that we're not allowed to drink, but we shouldn't drink to get drunk. HODL your liquor 😉

Very cool to see the #spreadthevibes work its way around the ReggaeJAH Community. I am curious to see where it will go when it leaves us.
