A Single Step Towards New Things || Introducing myself
Hi Hive community,
I wish to start my Hive journey with this quote "A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step" from Lao Tzu. 💡
Might sound corny 🙃, which it is, but it is the quote that best suits me. Not because of me being the type, who seeks out trying new things or seeking new adventure, contrary... I'm the type who likes her safe and comfortable bubble. Which is odd, because I'm more of an extrovert than an introvert.
But knowing that growing as a person mentally, creatively and skills wise I need to get beyond those boundaries and before doing that it takes just one little step and then a next one and a next one and so on....
So here's to taking a first step towards something new
My name's Tanja Kolader from Suriname; a tropical gem in South America. I am eager to learn and also to share, because I have so much to "say" (very talkative if you ask anyone who knows me 😅). Because he sensed I needed an outlet, other than his ears, @rarej dragged me onto Hive.
Also, I have come to learn that our knowledge is not our own, but that we need to share it for generations to come if we want to thrive as a human species.
But that's for another time.

And yes, listening only so much by a man is what I have experienced when I recount a story and he tells me "oh I didn't know". Makes me just want to 🤦♀😂
But on the other hand, sometimes I keep recounting and people tell me "you've told me already".

And the funny thing is a man will remember the absolute unnecessary like the brown mongrel dog passing by and forget everything else in the story 😂.
Oh yes, and this indeed makes it hard to listen at times, oh man my wife is planning a photo shoot for the kids, some special Japanese tradition, my ears can't get a break, still not sure what she wants to do.

Oh wow, that sounds nice: the Japanes traditional photoshoot. Hope to read/learn about it. Hahaha well if she talks so much about it sounds very important to her. ,,Het komt goed" is how we say ,,Everything will come into place as it should" 😉

@rarej Oh too well. I gotta start listening more attentively though, my twins are doing the same thing😄 I think its just a natural inclination of man.

Its great that you put it into a blog and left it here on the blockchain, so welcome, welcome to the Hive movement and blockchain. Your first blog is up and on the chain, hope you feel relieved, and not afraid of what is coming your way in the comments.
We know it can be daunting and frightening because all is new.

The biggest and best advice is always be carefull with all your passwords, Never give those up !! I speak from experience !
What always will help you build your new hive account, and profile on here, is establishing relationships and the best way to build them is to comment on other people's posts, there are so many topics here, and there will always be one that is of interest to you but also be interested in them, by reading and upvoting. This will draw them to your own account aswell, where they will discover a little more about you and relationships take off from there, and comments and votes will be the next step. When you have a twitter account you van visit #hivelift for more information.
I use Peakd to post to Hive. But hive.blog is an option too. They work well and let me know if you have difficulty.
