This similarity is exactly what I was thinking about when reading this post. Some are lucky enough to escape (parts of) the system, but most are destined to be condemned by it.

There are some cows in our neighborhood and whenever they moo we say the people from NDP (previous political party) are yelling again.

I think we are often given the illusion of change too, when everything is predetermined at higher levels. In the United States, I noticed no real differences living as a manual laborer just above the poverty line under either politicial party. So far in Suriname I (as stranded migrants) I see no difference in our daily lives under the new party, but then again most of our problems have resulted from the Surinamese people, and not the government of Suriname. !ENGAGE 30

Political parties mostly only differ in tone, but actions taken are usually similar. Especially in countries where there is one bigger agenda backed by capitalists.
