#APART initiative - Grandma (Photography and Song)

avatar

Hello community of ReggaeJahm, I want to share in this opportunity an image that surely for many will be easily recognizable, and I do not refer to the environment in general, which obviously denotes a low socioeconomic status, but to that elderly woman who in the photo is seen walking, whose fate each one could imagine according to what comes to mind.

But, what I want to emphasize is not exactly that, but rather I want to, and I don't know if it is because we are concluding a year and I have more than 3 years without sharing with my grandmother, who fortunately is still alive, or because I am simply a very respectful and admirer of old age, but we can recognize a grandmother anywhere.

That woman who spoiled us more than her own children (our parents), that woman who generally feels a special affection and who shows it to us every time we can talk to them... eeeh, yes, it is possible that being close to the end of the year and far from being able to see her has made me remember her a lot.

By the way, I can't forget to mention that this initiative is within the framework of the #APART initiative... if you want to know more about how to participate at the end of the post I'll leave everything you need to know.

One day we are young and another day we are already grandparents... yes, that's how fast life seems to go, that's why we better take advantage of every moment, and more with our loved ones, because then we don't know when we will coincide again, in fact, we don't know if we will coincide again, I think this year has been very particular in many aspects, but we shouldn't be pessimistic, many good things are yet to come, next year will be much better, won't it?

The sense of the initiative #APART is to be able to share an image, and a song that somehow you can relate to it, here I leave the music that I want to bring for you, I hope you enjoy it:

Naptali - Grandma (feat Arofat) [Venybzz]

This grandmother's energy is one that many would like to have. But she seems very tender to me, and I like to see her singing like this, maybe that's why she has more than 10,000 visualizations.

To see if it pleases them as much as to my...

If you have some photographs that you want to share and you don't know under what pretext, #APART is an initiative that allows you to relate an image with a song, so you can share and activate that creative part you have in you, while you enjoy.

In the community of REGGAEJAHM there is a dynamic that serves very well for all those who like photography, you do not need to be a professional in this area to share good photos, this dynamic is #APART A Picture & A Reggae Tune, created by @dmilliz.

What is it?

It's very simple, some image that makes you think of a specific reggae song, that somehow you can relate it, ready, you have a publication ready to share with an original image and a song by an artist of your interest.

How to participate?

"You can take part in #APART anytime.
Be sure to use #APART
Post your APART content in the Reggaejahm community or on Reggaestem.io.
Tell your friends who love photography and Reggae Music about it.
Have fun and let's get JAHMIN."Source

Nice dedication to the grandmothers! It is really fortunate that your granny is alive! Got me thinking about my grandmother on my father’s side. She got really down when her. husband ( my grandfather died ) it was sad seeing her without her life Partner, she became down and weak and eventually went to his side. And didn’t know my grandparents in my mother’s side well as the died when I was young.

Can’t recall hearing a reggae song dedicated to grandma! Nice find and pic 👌🏾

By the way, did you have problems using Reggaejahm.com?

Hi @dmilliz
Thank you very much for your comment.
My grandfather passed away three years ago. Just before I left the country. After more than 50 years with my grandmother, I can't imagine the emotional pain that loss could have caused my grandmother. It must not be easy, but she is an emotionally intelligent person, and she has known how to handle the situation, although it is not easy to stay in the same place without that companion who accompanied you for more than 5 decades? But that's a way of life, learning to deal with it.

Yes, it is rare and difficult to find a song dedicated to grandmothers.

Yesterday it was a little difficult to publish from reggaejahm.com, certainly. I tried three times before I could upload the post to the platform. And the feed wasn't updated... I couldn't comment either, but I know those things can happen.

What a great dedication! I like the beautiful gesture left in this publication, dedicated to a loved one. I congratulate you, you have been really creative. Also, thank you for sharing the video of the musical group "Naptali ", they make a good interpretation, I will surely be able to add them to my collection.
Luck, @josevas217
