Impromptu Jerk Burger 🍔 + Jerkonomics
Yesterday I went to a friends house for BBQ. It was a real impromptu BBQ, so much so that at the last minute before I arrived my friend called and said “hey, can you bring a BBQ grill and some coal?” 😂
It all turned out good though as the different things we brought all came to the making of the jerk burgers.
- I brought the jerk chicken.
- Another friend brought homemade buns.
- And another brought some salsa 💃
At first I didn’t even realize the food combination that was about to take place, but then after getting the “other meat” off the grill, I popped on the jerk.
Then I remembered the bread 🍞 my friend made.
This might looked burnt to many, but jerk has to be well done.
Jerkonomics 😂
Look at that jerk goodness 👀. I seriously love being the grill master. It’s something I could do everyday. The thought has always crossed my mind to start a jerk center. Seeing this jerk chicken burger contraption made me think how much more money one could make instead of selling the jerk in quarters or pieces. Bread is so cheap but so filling.
- One of those buns costs about .30 cents to make.
- One boneless chicken thigh cost around $1.25-$1.50 But with the burger, that thigh can be cut into four pieces.
- One jerk burger could be sold for $4:00.
- The estimated cost of a burger, coal included around $1.00 ( factor in the cost of energy to make the bread, let’s just say $1.25). Pretty decent profit.
- If all the raw material was bought wholesale then cost could be pushed down to $1.00.

That friend in the back ground had a little bit too much to drink and decided to lay out in the sun and get a tan. Not a good idea. People die of heatstroke everyday in Japan.
The buns get a nice warming on the grill and they were already fresh. Everyone helped themselves and added 💃 salsa sauce to their liking.
These pics don’t do the burgers justice. But the burgers are just the right size. Small enough to eat even 2 or 3 , but big enough for breakfast or a snack.
Jerk burgers aren’t anything new. But this is the best I ever had. Try this the next time you do some grilling. Thanks for stopping by. Bless up! No stress up!

Beautiful grilling. Yesterday I did a burito because today the family will come. Have a nice sunday🍻
It's the best way to spend time with family and friends , and good ole bbq 🍗. Have a good one bro!
Damnn dih ting sell off. That's a great idea. Do you take the bone out the chicken? Normally when I get jerk chicken some places give you hard dough bread. Never thought to make a sandwich though. 👏🏾👏🏾
You know in japan that is how they serve the thigh. I don’t know why. And anyone serving jerk usually serve the boneless thighs. Not sure who started that.
Ok ok
Oooh looks like a great day with that stuff :)
