Evening Walk : Stairs or Slide?

Hey Hivers!

Today I decided to get off the train ๐ŸšŠ one stop away a walk home. I took a few pictures as well which Iโ€™ll share in another post. It was great walking ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ and enjoying the beautiful greenery along the path. There were also a lot of azalea ๐ŸŒบ tsutsuji that were in full bloom.

Biking ๐Ÿšด๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ to the park one evening in April. The picture above was taken over the weekend when the boys and I went in search of a basketball ๐Ÿ€ court to shoot some hoops. We found two courts at a nearby sports park but they were being used by students. We decided to play soccer โšฝ๏ธ instead. Itโ€™s great that there are so many parks around and the best part is that they are free.

This a picture we took at Suma Rikyu park(not free) in Kobe a few years ago. There are slides on either side of the stairs. The park is known for its water fountains and seasonal flowers. There is also a huge athletic play area for children.

If you had to choose between taking the slide and the stairs which option would you choose? Please comment below.

Stay connected, stay blessed.

@fruityfruitz Thatโ€™s an interesting choice. May I ask why you chose the stairs? ๐Ÿ˜† Oh yeah and why not going up?

๐Ÿ˜‚I sometimes just donโ€™t trust those sliders and how fast they may go. Iโ€™m afraid they might throw me out. Those are super long. ๐Ÿ˜‚
I seriously donโ€™t mind the walk down. Walking up seems steep. I'll fly up lol!

@fruityfruitz Yeah that's a pretty long slide. Going straight down without applying some breaks using hands or feet could be dangerous.

Looks like a great ride nonetheless. Iโ€™m just a chicken. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Hahaha depended on what I was wearing, but with jeans definitely the slides.
It's nice to see that there are public parks where you can release some energy and destress and I suppose the civilians are also taking care like leaving no mess behind and keeping it clean, etc.?

Because here we have only a few public places, but not always appreciated by the people who make use of it, which is a shame.

@tanjakolader Oh yeah slides when in jeans ๐Ÿ‘– sounds like a fun choice. You can take the stairs to go up and slide again as many times as you wish.

Yeah the parks here are generally clean.

Yeah I would definitely use the slides haha
I even sit on swing set if I fit and have the time ๐Ÿ˜….

Nice to know that in some countries the people appreciate the public spaces and keep them neat and tidy.

๐Ÿ˜‚ Iโ€™m sure there are some places that are messy sometimes but I havenโ€™t seen many of those.

I know of one park that's been adopted by a Lions or Rotaract chapter, who sees that the park is kept in good conditions. Unfortunately not in my neighborhood.

Its awesome when community clubs can work together to take care of community issues. Some communities have flower gardens that are jointly maintained by the elderly, and the educational institutions.

Oh that's awesome. A community garden for fruits and vegetables would also be a good initiative and could be donated to those in need or to food banks.

There were a few schools who took up teaching the pupils gardening on the schools grounds, but they usually "die out" because there "always" needs to be a "leader". In Suriname we have great projects, but are more focused for short terms, while we actually need to work on sustainable projects.

Vegetable gardens at schools and in the community are common here as well. The issue with sustainability is also common one especially in schools. Once that one teacher who has the interest in vegetable farming leaves, the project dies.

Yes... The example of the teacher is also what we here are dealing with, which is unfortunate.

Anyway, enjoy the weekend! ๐Ÿ˜Š

You know I'm hitting that slide, and I don't even mind if it's buttered up first.
