Did Telokanda come out of nowhere or is that just me?

I heard about the new Hive Tribe when I saw the KANDA token listed in Hive-Engine. Since then though, I've been interested more in the Hive tribes recently I immediately looked to understand what was behind this new KANDA token.

I'm not going to sit here and to to explain what the Telokanda team already did so eloquently in their whitepaper post here. In Telokanda's post, the team explains what their token model is and how the KANDA token will be used. Basically the KANDA token is used to payout ads, or whatever type of marketing reward payout you want to offer for retweets paid in the form of the KANDA token. I will most likely be using this as a customer simply because I'd be curious to see if it helps bring new viewers to my content.

I've always thought there needs to be more focus on mainstream social media applications when it comes to Hive applications, simply because if more people were aware of the existence of Hive, I think people would be willing to learn how to make a blockchain wallet and get past the main barriers of entry we see the general public not being able to overcome in order to see some real use applications that exists like Hive!

As you can see in the image on the right, I've attempted to do my part by reposting on twitter with various cashtags and hashtags. I really do this so that people might click on the link and see that I'm posting content and earning crypto currency rewards.

I really do not think there is enough work being done among the decentralized Hive community in expanding our reach outside of the SEO we hope our posts earn in a google search. I think we need to incentive a more targeted approach to connected with users who regulary use and complain about maintstream social media applications. It's just planting the seed of the mass public seeing what every Hive user already knows, the value of our content and control of our curation!

Telokanda's Future?

Personally, I'm going to be vested and I've already purchased 3,000 KANDA tokens! I look forward to seeing what comes out of this community, but especially how I'm able to use the tools and features the Kanda is looking to leverage in Twitter! I'm extremely excited about Telokanda and I've even applied to be a curator for the team. This would be an awesome way to engaged with a new exciting community I would plan to anyway, so please do support my consideration by engaging with me in this new awesome community!
