What is the love referred to in John 3:16?

In reference to the question,

God has always loved mankind from the beginning. The love of God is everlasting.

John 3:16 God gave Jesus as a sacrifice despite knowing that Jesus would be punished and made to suffer.

John 1:11 He was rejected by the very people he came to save

God permitted everything that happened to the lord Jesus christ.

Isaiah 53:3-5 it is the suffering of Jesus that redeemed and saved us.

The suffering of Jesus was enough to give us eternal life.
