The question seems like the question of an unbeliever, because there are instances where female daughters in a family marry from another family, thereby carrying another name.

Mathew 1:18-23 Shows tgat Elizabeth and Mary were cousins.

Elizabeth was one of the daughters of the levite, she is also cousin with Mary but that doesn't make Mary a levite.

There are instances where we bear different family name from our cousins.

In Hebrew 7:14 the bible testifies that jesus came from the tribe of judah, so we have to believe what the bible says.
