Question: Should we have a crucifix in the church? |

The cross in the Jewish tradition is a symbol of suffering and curse. The cross is an element of condemnation, it is used to purnish offenders that are condemned to death and shame. Let us see

Deuteronomy 21:22
And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree:

If we look at that, we will see the meaning of the cross and what it's represent.

It is this shame and death that we ought to suffer that Jesus took on in our place on the cross. He carried out curses and shame. Let us see

Galatians 3:13
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

So therefore as we have seen that crucifix is not a symbol of Christianity but of course and shame, we need not to use it in church.
